Yes indeed specswise this ONE is a murderer. However i have a question for real users. How does the overly pixellated screen of the ONE look? I hav the feelin that thins will be extremely sharp when viewed thus obstructing the enjoyment.
Should've been 400 or 420ppi since de screen wont be expanded to 5" or over.
For u gongmouthed guys ranting over superiority,
what i saw here this morning might interest u. Just checked my feed this morn, Boy this "ONE" won the best smartphone in stuff gadget award thus Dethroning xperia z.
laughable, isn't it? make more noise abt the ultra p. Cam. The judge has spoken.
This phone has the best camera for indoors and talking closeups with friends and family.
Best for night photography and concerts.
I was little worried about the camera at first as it's hardware and design is top notch no doubt about that.
I'll be buying this phone for sure.
charlie1411, 14 Mar 2013d camera for this smart phone is 4 ultra pixel as mention, can I know 1 ultra pixel equals to ... moreultrapixel is a term used by HTC to describe the pixel size - it has no relation to the resolution which is 4MP
look at it something like the engine of a car...at same capacity let's say 2000cc you may have two types of engines(or more), one has 8(smaller) cylinders and one has 4(bigger). You still have the same overall capacity(just like the senzor size in HTC is the same with those you find in most flagships but they opted for the lower resolution 4MP and not 8 or 12 and bigger pixels). Now the first picture samples and reviews have appeared(soon GSMA will finish one:)) and the conclusion it's up to you if you like their direction and results.
"HTC has made a deliberate choice to focus on photo quality with bigger pixel size over just total pixel count. The 1/3’ sensor size on the HTC One is equivalent to the sensor size found on other 8MP or 13MP smartphone cameras.
However, UltraPixels are larger than ordinary pixels, and take up more space on the sensor. So there are less megapixels - the new HTC One takes photos at 4 megapixels resolution, but the quality of each pixel is substantially higher than the industry average."
Every single comment regarding the camera. This phone becoming a camera rather than a phone. HTC One camera is the best smart phone camera so far no doubt about it we can know it clearly when it was released.
Sharique Tharani, 13 Mar 20134 mega pixel camera..XX ?OMG ppl why dont u understant ITS 4MG WHIT ULTRA PIXEL

a1qkhan, 13 Mar 2013I was fortunate to meet a guy from HTC yesterday and he happened to have the HTC one. I’m a pr... moreI don't own any HTC smartphone right now but i must say HTC One is the most beautiful and best phone of 2013. I love this phone.
Sharique Tharani, 13 Mar 20134 mega pixel camera..XX ?It's actually ultrapixels, which you can read more about here http://www.htc.com/www/zoe/
d camera for this smart phone is 4 ultra pixel as mention, can I know 1 ultra pixel equals to hw many mega pixel?
then d ram are running for 2gb or 2 DDR2 as I read from other website?
Whatever the camera ONE may have but mark my words it will create a legacy as a phone overall just like desire previously. And main reason is its sheer presence in the hand , or kept on a table or where ever it is present
Let me remind u that HTC is a small company who made the rules for smartphone race rest all are the participants of that race.
I am not talking about the pros and cons of this device neither I am considered with amount of sales because people buy just by looking ads and others but there lies many hidden truth in ads. People just go with the flow without considering their own preferences.
Anonymous, 13 Mar 2013"There's a lot of noise thanks to the lower pixel count at times, but the range of light ... moreWell the one who reviews about the HTC camera is not very well adept.
in 1st picture where it was compaired to LG pro
of course LG give more detail because of its smaller apperture and the focus point is on the tube thus gives the HTC ONE more BOKEh effect ... duh ( hence expensive lenses has wider apperture just like HTC has )
2nd picture same thing... of course HTC one will show more detail in low lights due to wider apperture Plus with bigger pixel density. ( its like compairing nikon d3s vs d3x .....
3rd when he said the detail level close up are very strong.... ( android robot in the garden picture ) well the photoprahers focus point is on the top right...
I hope those who reviews about the camera knows what theyre talking about.
But on the battery life of the camera I don't know how good it is until I have it in my hand.
HankHill, 13 Mar 2013Actually no, he quit and works with phone dog againthanks for the information.. i'm really sorry about this mistake..
Anorse, 13 Mar 2013hey its not 4MP its 4UP = Ultra Pixels see the it on official HTC Site, I think gsmarena misty... moreYes, it is 4MP!!!! And finish...
It has 4MP on an (tiny) 1/3" sensor, so these 4 million pixels are relatively big (about 2micron) - and the bigger the better.
But now imagine what happens if you have a huge 1/1.2" sensor -> Nokia 808 PureView. It has 1.4 microns big pixels on full res (41mp!!) - but if you choose 8mp for the Picture the pixels will be much much bigger = amazing clarity and quality and still big images. Convince yourself and forgot the HTC One "Camera" - here are some of the samples shot with the untouched 808 PureView (have a look at the night pictures as well): http://www.flickr.com/photos/dlucic/sets/72157632877499722/with/8513310251/
