this phone has nothing special. the design is a copy of BB Z10. the specs are almost the same as XZ and the camera is kinda ridiculous. look at the samples at PA and you'll find them just a piece of crap. the aluminum body is not durable and it becomes more obvious when we look at IP5. the screen is 4.7" but the size of it is the same as XZ. the battery is not powerful and there is no micro SD slot the glass is Gorilla which is weaker than the glass used in XZ. the main advantage of it is its SLCD screen.
final word: Xperia Z all the way :D
The handset luks nice imo.i like the idea of having front facing stereo speakers.
But i didn't like the fact that htc have ditched the trio of capacitive keys with the htc logo coming in the middle of the two capacitive buttons.it would've been better had they kept it the traditional way.
Still the handset luks promising.luking forward to it's launch.

No removable battery and SD card slot = no sale to me.
Rather than coming up with their own innovative design and extending the unique features of the Android platform HTC has lost their plot now and is trying to make an iPhone clone lately. No wonder why their sales declined rapidly.

What is the UltraPixel?
HTC have gone ahead and used the term “UltraPixel” in their new
announcement. The “UltraPixel” simply means that the sensor has
large photosites, in turn meaning there are large pixels. Simply said,
the HTC UltraPixel camera has big pixels, which let in about 300%
more light than normal sensors. This is as per the marketing terms
and the press release. Lets see what it actually means.
Usually, sensors in smartphones are really small. These sensors,
most of the times packing a total of 8 megapixels, have pixels
packed in a tiny frame, making the sensor incapable of delivering
higher quality images. Usually, the smartphone camera sensors have
a pixel size of 1.4 microns(1/1000 of an mm). For example, the
Nokia 808 PureView, with a total of 41 MegaPixels packed into a
1/1.2″ sensor has a pixel size of 1.4 microns, and the yesteryear
Nokia N8, has a pixel size of 1.75 microns with a 12 megapixel
What HTC has done is, put large pixels on a 4 megapixel 1/3″
sensor. So, with the sensor being large, and the megapixel count
being low, the pixel size of 2.0 microns is achieved. The advantages
of large photosites(or pixels) is more absorption of light, hence
improving the low light performance. Also, due to the presence of
large pixels, the data that is absorbed is of higher quality, giving you
extremely clear pictures in most lighting conditions. Consider this
akin to a 5 MP oversampled photo from the Nokia 808 PureView,
which, even at 100% resolution, looks crystal clear without noise or

Sandy , 20 Feb 2013Whats the funda of 4mp ultrapixels?Think of it this way.
A regular 13MP camera is like a sheet of really tiny pixels. None of these pixels work right as they are too small. That's the reason for the megapixel myth.
4MP ultra pixels is like having 3 sheets of pixels layered one below the other, with each layer having 4MP pixels and each pixel being much larger than regular phone cameras. This makes each pixel work a lot better and this is a GOOD THING.
Personally, I'm expecting this camera to be the best in low light, and be at the top or close to the top in regular light. The 808 pureview will still be better though
I'm struggling to understand although I own a gs3, why do you need a micro-sd with 64gb on board,and why do you need a removable battery?
Don't be fool with camera it is only 4 megapixels with little big pixels.It's their strategy to sell product with the name like Ultrapixels to attract customers.The resolution of a photo taken by HTC One is only 2688 x 1520 pixels.Where as resolution of a photo taken by Sony Xperia Z is 4128x3096 pixels.As per experts photo taken by HTC One are so small for it's huge resolution 1080p that it's very hard to crop or zoom.I think it's enough to tell about their crappy 4Mp camera.
