aktoru, 23 Aug 2014please tell me about camera quality. is it better than galaxy s4.I have both s4 and E8 as i written earlier s4 cam quality is way better than e8 (both indoor and outdoor)s4 cam is best. E8 indoor colors are washed out and looks dull... s4 flash is powerful too.

Processor should be:
Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801
However it is written as:
Qualcomm MSM8975AC Snapdragon 801
the editor should correct that!

aktoru, 23 Aug 2014dear aakb,
my budget is not enough for s5 or m8. If i consider camera priority than which mod... moreS4 is a dying model: you may not get software updates beyond 4.4.1. E8 comes with 4.4.2 already and could be supported till 4.4.3 or beyond. So, make a wise choice.
Also, are you trying to be a professional photographer using a mobile? I am not sure if that makes sense. With that background, I am not sure why you should be so unsure.
guys I'm from mumbai and want to buy the red E8. any idea where is it available or how long it will take for this color to arrive? couldn't find it online or at local stores. or any user may suggest their preference of color? thanks in advance.

hi guys. I had decided to buy this phone but then camera is a priority and now that htc butterfly 2 is going to hit markets soon I'm confused whether to wait for that or simply buy this one. butterfly has dual flash and the M8 dual cam feature. but it looks ugly! so what would you guys suggest? If the cam on E8 is good say the other flagships maybe better but it wouldnt be distinctly noticeable to human eye then I'l not hesist to get my E8. also pls tell which color is better ?
AAKV, 23 Aug 2014OK, Folks, I just got off a chat with a HTC representative: countered her about the 4G support... more4G works only on international roaming. Not nationwide. The phone has the capability of receiving 4G network band. However it is the network provider who has to support the device settings. Currently airtel 4G works only on samsung s5 4G Lte and iphone 5s and m8 should. That too it will work only within 4G enabled network circle.
Toru, 23 Aug 2014Dear AAKV Can u tell me which one best, SAMSUNG GALAXY S5 DUOS (G900FD) or HTC One (E8) du... moreI was not aware that HTC One M8 had Dual SIM variant too. If 50K is your budget, then HTC One M8 is the best buy: if you want all the functionality of HTC One M8 at a great price, then HTC One E8 is a good option. Samsung Galaxy S5 Series is good, but personally, I was done with Samsung devices. Also, I was sure if the DUOS variants of Samsung Galaxy S series had the same premium feel of their Single SIM variants. Personally, I would move on with HTC for the Stereo speakers: that is a major plus point.
Can u tell me which one best, SAMSUNG GALAXY S5 DUOS (G900FD) or HTC One (E8) dual sim or HTC One (M8) dual sim ??
OK, Folks, I just got off a chat with a HTC representative: countered her about the 4G support on HTC One E8: firstly, she had me rolling on the floor (I can't remember if I was laughing or crying) when she said that the 4G would work only if you were roaming!!!! I asked her that people, for saving roaming costs, would switch off even GPRS/Edge/3G DATA while roaming, and now HTC was expecting us to use the option of 4G on roaming!! Made her thinking and then after putting me on hold, she confirmed that HTC was to release a patch that enables the phone to work on 4G networks very soon: it is an official communication that I have taken a screenshot of. She refused to commit on the possible dates, but said VERY SOON!!!
So, folks contemplating on this device, I think you guys can now look forward to the device, and actually go for it, while we wait for the patch to enable 4G usage. Once they release the patch, it is going to be a struggle with the networks, on compatibility: but since Airtel is the only one, I am almost certain that HTC will release a patch that will take care of usability on Airtel 4G.

aktoru, 23 Aug 2014Dear AAkb,
Please writs about camera quality. if you using samsung than compare and share you... moreAs a loyal Samsung user who used S, S2 and S3, I can tell you one thing: the experience using the HTC One E8 is awesome. I was getting bored of the same user interface all the time and the same gestures in Samsung. The Camera is pretty good: what is happening is that people compare the camera of the HTC One E8 with the HTC One M8 camera and this is where you may be disappointed. Samsung camera was undoubtedly the best available, but please note that this camera would be available only on premium Galaxy S series: and they are already 25% to 30% costlier than the HTC One E8. I would advise this:
If Camera is the main criterion and budget is not the issue, then go for the HTC One M8, instead of the Samsung Galaxy S5: M8 comes in a metallic package, with exciting accessory options. You may want to see the LG G3 too!!! All are priced within striking range of each other.
But if you seem to be wanting a Dual SIM as the main criterion, then HTC One E8, which comes with a decent camera option is the best choice: given that this is the only one 4G capable Dual SIM in the market for now.
