Neetash , 01 Oct 2014What's the battery life of your one m8?I'm very confused on what handset to get.either the Z3... moreIf u ask me, z3 might have the upper hand being newer, but UI is better on M8.
Screen is very bright on z3 but colors are off. Also, keep in mind that you will have a flagship for only 6 months, and after that the attention will mainly be routed to the new flagship (new tweaks will be available on new flagship to differentiate from the ex-flagships).
I have used z1, was very good until i have updated...then phone wasn't that good, full of bugs. Was ok, but NOT the phone i have initially bought.
Now, htc one m8 seems very well balanced. probably best hardware and software optimisation on android world. Design is better than any other outhere.
I miss z1 for : waterproof and camera on daylight (good lighting conditions). On low light i don't have to tell you which is better :)
Correction, photo clarity I mean- screen resolution not camera photo. I have not tested with others but u will have manual mode in M8. Where u can adjust the ISO and shutter speed. Which I don't think you have in other phones. Wait for Oct 8 announcement and then decide. Good luck mate.
Neetash , 01 Oct 2014What's the battery life of your one m8?I'm very confused on what handset to get.either the Z3... moreI am satisfied with my M8 battery life. In normal use it stand 1 and half days. I use mostly for browsing and listening music. I don't play games much.
If you ask me, I choose M8 over any android phone anyday. The surfing/navigation is butterly smooth. The screen resolution is awesome. In my office we have tested the .photo clarity with Samsung S4/MI3/5S. Everybody said M8 is best.
I insist, go to showroom and test and compare it by yourself. If camera is ur concern, then wait for M8 eye.
End the day, the choice should be urs and you should not regret about that.
Trying to find out if the M8 will work with my car bluetooth. Its a Parrot mki9000.
Has anyone here successfully used their M8 with a Parrot brand bluetooth car kit?
Asyraf777, 01 Oct 2014I hate HTC released 2 versions of this model..now im having a hard time choosing between M8 n ... moreI was in same situation as u are. I choose M8. For some reason I don't like the phone looks compared to M8. Also the E8 camera is not good in my opinion. I took some photos and the color looks washed out. You can try both the phone in showroom and compare. Pick the one u like. But if you ask me, I suggest u to wait till Oct 8 announcement and then decide. As rumors says M8 eye is on the way with better camera.
Hope the above suggestions will help you to decide a phone. Thanks!!!
Neetash , 01 Oct 2014What's the battery life of your one m8?I'm very confused on what handset to get.either the Z3... morethe battery life will be way better in the m8. the z3 power saving features are a joke. the cameras in both gives different options and speed and quality and effects from each other, so both are good. im not a photographer so i will choose m8 over the z3. but then again if im a photographer both phones wont do much good for me other than a dslr camera.
After one week with a M8 (AT&T version), really like it. Came from a Nokia N9, and at first the M8 seemed too big, but now used to a 5" screen). Can get a full day on battery with about 30% left, if careful could easily go two days. Good hardware in a tight package. Will probably convert it to a Google version soon.
Neetash , 01 Oct 2014What's the battery life of your one m8?I'm very confused on what handset to get.either the Z3... moreI normally get nearly 7 hrs screen on time. It's more than enough for a moderate user for use around 2 days without charging. Moreover, the M8 has a feature called "Extreme Power Saving Mode" which increase the battery life when your phone running on low-battery.
Honestly, the M8 is not the right phone for you if you expect a good camera. If you specifically need an HTC phone with a good camera, HTC will announce the M8 Max in this month. According to rumours, it may have an 18MP rear camera with OIS. Or you can wait for the HTC M9 in the next year. I hope it will have a great camera.
If you like a Samsung phone, the Note 4 will be ideal for you.
Anonymous, 01 Oct 2014 As the subject of plenty of whispers earlier in the year, the so-called HTC One M8 Max/Prime ... moreExactly, that was a mistake. I have mentioned 16MP rear camera. It should be a 18MP rear camera with OIS. Let's see what will be the HTC M8 Max.

Techno J., 30 Sep 2014I'm not urging you to not to buy a Z3, but you have to think about this. Are going to pay $800... more As the subject of plenty of whispers earlier in the year, the so-called HTC One M8 Max/Prime was thought to be put out to pasture.
Reborn reports suggest that the smartphone could feature a 5.5-inch 2,560x1,440-pixel display and an 18-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization. Powered by Android 4.4 KitKat with HTC Sense 6.5, other hardware could include a 2.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM, and a 3,000mAh battery. Allegedly, HTC will build the phone out of an aluminum composite.
I hate HTC released 2 versions of this model..now im having a hard time choosing between M8 n E8..Its so much better if only got 1 version..
vino41, 30 Sep 2014The only thing discourages me from buying M8 is its stupid camera, I have no choice but to buy Z3."dual 4 mega pixel"...performs very very well. Try it
Techno J., 30 Sep 2014I'm not urging you to not to buy a Z3, but you have to think about this. Are going to pay $800... moreAgree. At present note 4 seems the best. If u don't like the size, then wait for S6, M9 or z4.
vino41, 30 Sep 2014The only thing discourages me from buying M8 is its stupid camera, I have no choice but to buy Z3.I'm not urging you to not to buy a Z3, but you have to think about this. Are going to pay $800 for the same hardware which in the Z2? You can rather purchase a Z2 just for $500. The Z3 and Z2 are almost same, nothing any significant difference.
If you need an HTC phone with a better camera, just wait for the HTC M8 Max which plans to announce in the next month. Rumours suggest it will have Snapdragon 805 SoC chip, 3GB Ram, 5.5" 2K display, 3000mAH battery and 16MP rear camera. Alternatively, you can wait for the HTC M9 which will announce in March next year.
You can even consider about the Note 4 as well. In my opinion, no any phone come close the Note 4 .
The only thing discourages me from buying M8 is its stupid camera, I have no choice but to buy Z3.
nickysor, 29 Sep 2014High definition sound - as i have seen there isn't much value added to the quality of the soun... moreThe Z3 is slightly better than the Z2, but it's not worth enough upgrading from Z2. All the new features on Z3 are just minor software features. The most disappointing this is it has the exact same CPU and GPU which in the Z2. The only difference is clock speed. I expected at least Snapdragon 805 chip, but Sony completely failed me this year. My only compliment about Sony is at least they made a worthy compact phone (Z3 Compact).
There are some friends are using the Z2. Their user experience of the Z3 is not so positive. Sony software has a lot of bugs, maybe much more than Touchwiz. Sony's camera application is so horrible and their displays are so over-saturated. Sony will have to do a much better job in the next year. Otherwise, it will be the end of Sony.
HTC's only weakness is the camera department. They failed design a better camera two years in a row. I hope that they will fix it in the next year HTC M9.
Techno J., 29 Sep 2014Don't come to a quick judgment. Apart from the camera, there is no other way that Z3 can beat ... moreHigh definition sound - as i have seen there isn't much value added to the quality of the sound.
But Z3 is better than Z2, being smaller, brighter, and with nice colours.
My personal concern regarding sony is the 6 month update cycle which leads to:
1. reduced time for preparing new product or for major improvements
2. poor sw updates for ex-flagships (Z1, now Z2), because all the effort goes onto the new product
3. are you confortable with your phone being ex-flagship in just 6 months? and paying the premium price for it?
Other than this i like SONY brand, sony mobiles.
PS: ex owner of z1, now owner of htc one m8.

I used the S5 around 3 months. Overall, I prefer the HTC Sense over the Touchwiz, but we can't forget the unique Touchwiz features such as multi-window, S-Health and etc.. However, only the multi-window feature is important for me among others.
Samsung needs to optimise the Touchwiz performance and make it more elegant.
