Xperia ZR is a good phone IMO. It has a better processor, is water and dust resistant, has a better camera, better battery life and has micro SD card slot.
Moto X 16 GB is kinda useless without micro SD card slot. My music collection is around 17 GB in phone( a lot of FLAC). So no micro SD card means a no from my side. It's a great phone otherwise if looking for 32 GB.
bought a M8 from www.aconcept.com.sg/shop & loving it now. the Sense 6 ux is totally awesome compared to other brands of andriod!
AnonD-116479, 04 Aug 2014I suggest you the Moto X. The best phone which you can buy around $200-300.try the desire 816 best smartphone ever

ppj, 04 Aug 2014I am already using HTC one M7. Is it worth replacing with M8? Sure you should, I have bought an M8 for myself and M7 for my wife the same day, M7 is very good phone while M8 is great, the good things are it does not overheat as M7 and the battery is unbelievable, the first time ever that my phone lasts for 2 days, which I had never seen with my last 2 phones (HTC Desire & HTC One X)

You'll save a lot of money for a sturdy phone.
Going serious, buy any phone and put an otterbox on it. It'll be totally safe.
i'm looking for a good smart phone and HTC caught my attention. but i was wondering if they are tough enough? i have butter fingers and drop my phone A LOT!! besides many times it just slides off my pockets while i'm sitting. its still alive just because its a nokia. but can a HTC go through the same amount of torture??
p.s: i like the HTC one mini and desire 700 (dual sim) very much. are these phones tough or will they brake after a fall or two?my budget is around $300. please suggest any other smartphone in that range (except samsung and Iphone. i hate those. )
AnonD-215746, 04 Aug 2014Hi Chris, Kindly confirm if the new update supports SD card writing? Thanks, I just updated into Android 4.4.3 yesterday. Now, there is a File Manager on new 4.4.3 version. So no need to worry about the SD card writing issue.
To those who are so worked out about the megapixels, do you know that HTC one mini 2 which is the smaller/inferior version of M8 has a 13MP camera. Come on HTC are not that daft. 4MP ultrapixels must be better than the 13MP on the mini 2 surely.
I have my HTC one M8. I don't where all this farce about the camera is coming from. For your information guys, specs don't make a good phone. It is about how you put everything together and make everything work in harmony. HTC know how to do this. I have taken a few photos and they are all impressive. Screen is smooth and feels responsive.
