AnonD-247522, 12 Jun 2014It's not 4 megapixel but it's ultrapixel which makes the better lowlight picture. It's 4 megapixels. Ultrapixel is the name of the camera tech, not the pixels.

So it's a 4 megapixel ultrapixel camera

Merong, 12 Jun 2014Due to spec, is it for real this phone just 4mpx main camera? or just type error,it maybe come... moreno it comes with 4MP , the sensors are better but and the shots are uncomparable under low lights but the quality under huge exposure is still up for debate.

I have been using this phone for about 1 month. So far I found this beauty outstanding. It's a very tough task to improve on the best phone of 2013 and HTC has done that. This phone is an absolute looker. true to life in every scenario, but they are often more visually pleasing that's what I want .Though, Low pixel count means less pixel-level detail than the high-end competition in most shooting situations.Theory is one thing though, practical use is another. As far as the low MP count is concerned, Images are typically shared online or edited at much lower resolution than 4MP and most users don't even come close to making use of their smartphone camera's full resolution. That, however, doesn’t mean I wouldn’t like to see a larger, higher-resolution sensor with an UltraPixel Tech.
          It blows away the competition
in benchmarks as well. I ran two most common benchmarks on the M8 and the results were superior than any other Smartphone. M8 scored 25000+ in Quadrant benchmark and 38000+ in Antutu Benchmark Test.
Sense 6 is my favorite UI. It is cleaner and brighter. I like the way the UI is as simple and flat as can be, giving stock Android a run for its money. I like the themes pretty much. The color actually extends into the notification bar at the top of the screen, giving the impression that HTC’s apps are “one with the phone.”
Last but not the least, what should I say about BoomSound speakers. I have not encountered a smartphone that can even come close to the Loudness and Clarity of the speakers.

I have been using my m8 for the past two weeks or so now. I can tell you that this is the phone to own . I used to be an iPhone user for three years shifting from 3s to 4 to 4s then realized the lie and the control of Apple so I shifted to Samsung s3 and then s4 . I can tell you that Samsung is a lie. It lags and becomes slow after only 3 weeks of usage plus battery life on the Samsung and iPhones 5 and below are not comparable to the m8. My phone can support me for 2 days easy with moderate use of emails and YouTube and normal calls and what's app.
I do not have any experience with Sony z2 but I can see that my m8 will stay with me for some time to come even after the big iPhone screen.
Go for m8 and nothing else . You will feel satisfied and premium.

Your problem is due to your charger, charger cable or micro usb port on your phone. The trip to a service is the solution.

If it doesn't then your battery is faulty. Get it replaced via service centre.

If you are continuously facing that problem, I recommend you to hand over the phone to a HTC service center or to the store which you bought it.

AnonD-185909, 10 Jun 2014My iPhone 4s has a cortex 19 but it's 3 years up till now it doesn't lag I have used the iphone 4s and it is super smooth on iOS 6 and laggy on iOS 7.

I have seen many galaxy s3's and none of them lags much. But many users report this so I found it true. Also I had a cortex a9 based xperia U and it lagged like hell after 1 year so I assumed this thing.

You must be a light user or must be using iOS 6. Thats why your phone must be working like a charm. My friend had an iphone 4 and it was so laggy after ios 7 that he wanted to throw his phone.

And yes, apple processor is cortex a9 based and is a customized chipset made by apple and not the vanilla cortex a9. So it'll age differently compared to plain cortex a9. Whereas s3 and note 2 use plain cortex a9.

Anyways my main point was that krait or cortex a15 don't age that fast and m8 will last years before becoming slow.

                              Thanks for your input.

                              Have a nice day

After using the HTC One (M7) last year, I really couldn't see how HTC could improve this year. Well, I was completely wrong. The HTC One (M8) is absolutely mind blowing in comparison.
Stunning screen, even better sound quality, better camera, better battery life and even an mSD slot!
This time I honestly cannot see where HTC can improve, this thing is amazing against any other smart phone out there.

I have used an iPhone 4s as well and your comment found to be true. They have a very simple OS yet very powerful. That's why iPhones are so fluid and fast.

mechanimal82, 10 Jun 2014It appears they can, I have to say I was dubious to start. The first version of the One (M7) w... moreMegapixels ARE ultrapixels. Both are same. The HTC one m8 has a 4 megapixel ultrapixel camera. The ultrapixel is the name of camera, not anything else.

Mega is a prefix for million. That implies that if a camera is 1 MP, it has 1 million pixels in it's sensor.

There's no new tech used in the pixels making them ultra. And ultrapixel can't be compared to megapixel. An ultrapixel refers to a single pixel whereas a megapixel means a million pixels.

So htc m8 has a 4 megapixel ultrapixel camera and not a 4 ultrapixel camera. A 4 ultrapixel will mean the camera has only 4 pixels.

Now what's so special about these branded ultrapixels. The answer is nothing. Yes, there is nothing special in these pixels. They are the exact same in work. The specialty is in their size. They are bigger than normal pixels.

                                        Have a nice day
