AnonD-68356, 10 May 2014Does the new HTC ONE M8 has an option to move apps to sd card??please answeryes you can move apps to sd card on the htc one(m8).just go into setting on your phone then apps, right at the top slide to sd card from there you will see the apps that can be move, just click on move to sd card and the job will be done.

I don't know why Samsung didn't give this option on note 3 but probably because note 3's lowest storage is 32 gb and hence we don't need it that much.
Even s5 has this feature to move apps to sd card. I saw it and I can confirm it.
Thanks. It's ok now as astro file manager is working fine for basic stuff. Is any other file manager also working or is it only astro??
And 64 GB internal storage is insanely expensive. Even a 64 GB UHS I card is dirt cheap in front of 64 gb internal storage.
I don't know how I can prove it to you but I can move apps to sd freely.
Have a nice day

I think there is no any file manager to move apps into the SD card. You can only do it by going to the "Application Manager" in the phone settings; then, move apps into the SD card. Nevertheless, KitKat version of the Android not allows you to do that.
This is not merely the problem of HTC M8. One of my friend who using a Note 3 also facing the similar problem after updating Jelly Bean to KitKat.
AnonD-245569, 11 May 2014I,m using HTC M8 with Astro File manager....no problem at all. you can move files to SD card.Yeh, I'm using the Astro File Manager as well. You can move, delete, create new folders and etc through Astro File Manager.
But you can't move apps into the SD card in KitKat.
AnonD-89109, 10 May 2014Hey thanks for pointing out your views about the S5. Honestly I was thinking about buying it y... moreI was in the same quandary before I finally picked up the M8.
The camera is pretty decent and good for regular pics.
Where this phone excels is:
Design, build and looks.
It outperforms S5 in smoothness of interface and fluidity of sense 6. I feel it even outperforms apple in this regard.
I am thrilled with my purchase and have no regrets.
hey guys I know that after android 2.3 google did not allow us to move apps to sd card but manufactures like htc(desire x, desire 600 etc) samsung(s4,grand, core etc)and sony(Xperia c) allowed us to move apps to SD card, so my question is not that kit kat allows us to move apps to SD card or not, my question is whether HTC has given the option in m8 to move apps to SD card or not??

Also I have come to know that kitkat doesn't give freedom to 3rd party file browsers. And if I am correct, m8 doesnt have a built in file browser. So doesn't it give problems??? How do you cope with that?
I don't think moving apps to sd card is a problem. I have many apps on the sd card on my s4. And it is at 4.4.2. So it's the decision of htc to not allow people to do it. In one way it's good as many people buy cheap sd cards and put their apps in it and later blame it on the phone for not performing up to the mark.
I still am confused as I didn't get to interact with anyone owning exynos s5.
Have a nice day
AnonD-68356, 10 May 2014Does the new HTC ONE M8 has an option to move apps to sd card??please answerUnfortunately Android Kitkat version doen't allow you to move apps into the SD card. This is not an issue of the M8, many phones which running Android Kitkat are having this problem.
I personally hate this SD Card. A 64 GB internal memory without SD card is more than sufficient to me.
