AnonD-116479, 06 May 2014I have been using the M8 since two weeks and I'm extremely satisfy with it. Advantages Of ... moreSee mr. Techno j. . Do you know the reason I asked saurav ghosh. Because we both own an i9500 s4. And I trust his personal opinion. The reasons you gave are already known to me as I have read countless comparison reviews between these 2. Actually, I can build up a bigger list than yours. You forgot the wifi mimo in s5. Plus the display mode settings and the more functional ui touchwiz.

See touchwiz lags. But it had much more to do with everything. There are just too many features, tweaks and shortcuts. Once you get a hang of it, you feel right at home. And even my s4 at 4.4 doesn't lag now. So if s5 does lag, it'll be fixed by update. Plus I use the s health, group play and multi window and damn those are really good. That makes me love laggy touchwiz more than the snappy sense.

That's why I asked saurav ghosh. I know him already and he lives in India. So if he can compare s5 exynos with m8 I can decide better.

Now if you allow me. The list of pros and cons according to me

M8 is better because:

Breathtaking design

Dual frontal stereo speakers

Better audio even in headphones due to optimization.

Snappier ui.

FM radio

Fast implementation of the 3d effects due to dual camera

Better night time shots if you have shaky hands.

S5 is better because:

Much better display in all conditions and by all perspectives. Can have a much bigger colour gamut and display colours lcds can only dream of, deep blacks, more sunlight legibility, can choose preference of colors, the display also can be super dim upto 8 nous
Nits.

Powerful processor: even .2 ghz is faster. And the exynos s5 has a 25% more powerful cpu and 966 mhz RAM.

Much better camera. You can say whatever you want but the details can't be matched by HTC one. it has bigger and better sensor and 4 times resolution. Even in night time there is a night mode option that produces great results for steady hands.

Wifi mimo. 2 wifi reciewers means 2x the speed.

More ergonomical design.

Water resistant and dustproof

Has a more functional ui

Has plethora of features such as s health, multi window, download booster, group play etc.

Has a fingerprint scanner.

So as I said. I can also generate a list. I wanted hands on experience from a person who has used the same phone as me. And that's why I asked him.

On a personal note, last year I did plenty of research and chose s4 over m7. And I am really happy about the decision. And when I see s5 is much better than s4 whereas m8 is almost the same as m7 except the chipset difference.

Anyways, thanks for your try to help.

        shubham yadav, 06 May 2014Hi saurav ghosh, I've reconsidered my budget and I think I can purchase a phone. The obvious c... moreI have been using the M8 since two weeks and I'm extremely satisfy with it.

        Advantages Of the M8 over the Galaxy S5.

        * Superior build quality.

        * Dual front facing speakers which ideal for super clear loudspeaker calls.

        * Super smooth and lag free user interface.

        * Great caller clarity.

        * Impressive music quality.

        * Really fast responsive display.

        * Motion gestures.

        * Superior low-light performances of the camera.

        * True tone dual LED flash looks low light pictures same as the natural colors.

        * 5 mp front facing camera gives you impressive selfie photos.

        Advantages of the S5 over the M8.

        * Removable battery.

        * Water resistance.

        * Excellent day-light performing camera with higher resolution.

        * 4K video recording.

        * Nice display.

        * Download booster.

        * The display is responsive even you wearing gloves.

        * Multi windows feature gives you most perfect multi tasking ability.

        These are my opinions. Overall I prefer the HTC M8. Most people say that M8 camera is bad. But it's not actually bad as they say. However, its daylight performances are slightly lower than the S5 but not in significantly. If you get a M8 you can take a perfect picture in any condition. The S5 camera is only good in daylight, its low-light and indoor performance is not quite good.

        Anther thing is the display of the S5 slightly better than the M8. However, sometimes the M8 better than the S5. S5 display has saturated colours with good viewing angles. M8 also better, it's look good for reading text.

        Finally the S5 has the same lagging problem, while the M8 is super smooth. The M8 display even more responsive than than the S5 display.

        Choose anything what you prefer.

              I bought the HTC One last year, after being an I-phoner for many years, HTC One succeeded to make me give on my I-phone5 and buy the HTC One as it is a great phone, though i hate Android OS. This year I bought the new HTC One M8 and in all means i think it is a great phone.

              The only negative comment is that it is very expensive, in fact it is the most expensive phone in the market here in Jordan!!!

              My new loyalty now switched from I-phone to HTC, I think HTC should reward me for that and for the rep I am giving to their phones here in Jordan and to all my connections and anyone who asks me about the phone when they see me holding it in my hand :)

                  AnonD-89109, 04 May 2014Since when a 'selfie' photo makes you consider a camera? Jeez!Hi saurav ghosh, I've reconsidered my budget and I think I can purchase a phone. The obvious choices are m8, s5 and z2. The z2 overheats and is really big and uncomfortable so I threw it out. Now the two options are the exynos s5 and m8. I would've bought the s5 easily if it was for the snapdragon version.

                  If you've bought the m8 as you said can you tell me how much of upgrades and downgrades are there from the i9500 s4. Especially the screen, camera and ui as they seem to be worse than i9500. And if you've tried, list out the changes from the s5. Your reply is welcome.

                  Have a nice day.

                      AnonD-130338, 06 May 2014Can someone tell me as to which microsd card does this support.....I mean class 4 or class 10? The speed class is how fast it can read it write information. Class 4 is slower than class 10 and UHS-1 is the fastest (pretty much the same as a class 10).

                      Anyways the HTC one, along with any device, can do any speed class, although higher speed classes (like class 10 or UHS-1) are recommended
