I work in the mobile phone industry and get weeks and weeks to test all of the latest smartphones so have hands on experience with the M8, Galaxy S5, Xperia Z2, LG G2, Lumia etc etc. The HTC One M8 is the best smartphone ever. No arguments.
Anyone doubting the camera is either spouting unfounded rubbish or is using it incorrectly. It isn't the best camera out there, but unless you're using it for professional photography the differences really aren't noticeable. And if you are using it for professional shots, you might want to think about investing in a DSLR.
I used the original HTC One as my personal device for 8 months and can say that the speaker in the M8 is a massive improvement. Don't be concerned about the lack of Beats Audio - for me it was a marketing gimmick and nothing more.
The HTC One M8 is a massive improvement over the original model in every aspect. Give it a try and you will not be disappointed.
Oh, and to any Apple fanboys spouting off - don't be so deluded. Wait and see what the 'iPhone 6' offers before claiming it will be better. If the past few years have been anything to go by it'll be a disappointment.

Now I am using htc one m7 camera is really to poor quality not properly working in low light htc same camera is repeat new phone m8 very bad, and sound is less than without amplifier phones, way htc maximum working on sound and camera I am used htc 5 phones last 4 years but my new phone is not htc.

HTC M8 has cause much pain already samsung fans, as they have nothing applausive to say except to criticize. N.B camera is not everything in a phone. Use this camera first and then comment. People complain about camera in iPhone,samsung,Sony, etc. phone is not a camera please. HTC M8 will be crowned phone of the year. HTC for life no matter what

The obvious. Teenagers with rich parents or privileged backgrounds
May be able to afford the new HTC one. But the obvious market area is mainstream
working class which tend to have kids which tend to like to take photos. The new m8 is disappointing in the camera department ph is fantastic. I don't have time to carry multi devices and encourage HTC to put the next HTC one out with a better camera and I'm sure
they can get a bigger piece of the market to actually make money and stay in business.
