according to the most credible and almost sure leak..the one 2014 will have two different cameras
1) 4 ultra pixel camera for low light photos..
2) 16mp for daylight shots..
...and also i need to mention the fact...that probably 75% that it will have computational photography and zooming (which is awesome..check out the link shared so gratefully by rob c in the comments below )...3 d mapping and more features ..focusing and all....except it doesnt have 4k video which is no deal breaker..in short..
the camera SHOULD be AWESOME...
Anonymous, 20 Mar 2014This phone hasn't even been released yet and the Sony Xperia z2 still puts it to shameHow does the Sony Z2 put HTC M8 to shame??
Mind you, the battery power of 2600Mah is speculated, it hasn't appeared in any of the leaked info. Besides, the camera alone makes the phone worth the purchase.

Battery is always struggling. Why cant they put an insane battery with insane endurance. Just gonna wait for the endurance test to give my rating.
Phonesreview.co.uk says: ( http://www.phonesreview.co.uk/2014/03/04/htc-m8-one-heir-clears-fcc-carrier-models-show/ ): " ... To begin with, there’s what looks like an international model (NM80P6B100) supporting 4G LTE on band 7. This band is used in regions such as Europe and Asia.
The next four models are US carrier variants with different 4G LTE bands supported. The AT&T model is NM80P6B120 while the Verizon variant is NM80P6B200. Sprint has the NM80P6B700 and for T-Mobile it’s the NM80P6B160.
Finally there’s model number NM80P6B130 with support for LTE bands 4 and 17, and these bands are commonly used by US regional carriers. Significantly, the samples seem to have been received by the FCC some time ago, as far back as October in fact.
In one last snippet of info, the FCC filling images for the phone show the 3.5mm headset jack placement to the bottom of the device. ...".
A bit more specific Info about the LTE:
LTE 4 (BW 5MHz): 1712.5 - 1752.5 MHz
LTE 4 (BW 10MHz): 1715.0 - 1750.0 MHz
LTE 4 (BW 15MHz): 1717.5 - 1747.5 MHz
LTE 4 (BW 20MHz): 1720.0 - 1745.0 MHz
LTE 7: ? (Note: Mentioned but no Info)
LTE 17: (BW 5 Mhz) 706.5 - 712.5 MHz
LTE 17: (BW 10 Mhz) 709.0 - 711.0 MHz
The 20 MHz Bandwidth will be nice (assuming the Cell Tower accepts it)!
Phandroid says ( http://phandroid.com/2014/02/20/htc-m8-fcc-filing/ ): "... the FCC filing also revealed AT&T compatible LTE bands (2, 4, 5, 7, 17) which given the extra bands, is more than likely the GSM unlocked model." .
I did not see those other Bands in the Docs I looked at.
Remember that is ONE particular Model in the USA. Other US Models (and for other Countries) WILL have appropriate Bands for the Carriers they are Released to (and the HTC One M8 Developer Website will likely have the same Bands as they did for the M7 -- IE: not every possible combination of Freqs., and 64 GB Memory version).
FCC Docs for US Model say:
FCC ID: NM80P6B160
Brand Name: HTC
Model Name: 0P6B160
Tx Freq Bands: GSM850: 824.2 - 848.8
(MHz) GSM1900: 1850.2 - 1909.8
WCDMA Band II: 1852.4 - 1907.6
WCDMA Band IV: 1712.4 - 1752.6
WCDMA Band V: 826.4 - 848.6
LTE: 4, 7, 17
Waaw this is amazing
You can just look at other phones to see the beauty of that htc one 2014
AnonD-180202, 14 Mar 2014That is one great comment sir! Congrats! :PThere is a possibility that HTC has licensed the TCM9518MD from Toshiba and had them upgrade the Sensor from 1.4um to 2.0um pixel size.
It is also possible that the leaks about 2.0um Pixel size are mistaken.
It is Toshiba's CLAIM (on their Site) that their Camera Module (which I do NOT know is _similar_ to what HTC may be using) that their Module replaces their '5.6um Pixel size Technology' (they say result is equal) AND that using their Module one can obtain 13MP Images (using Computation Photography).
AnonD-168372, 17 Mar 2014The Old HTC One looks better and more handy. It's just the broken camera and ultra pixel gimmi... morei think the gray one 2 is beauty
so so so so col and beauty

The Old HTC One looks better and more handy. It's just the broken camera and ultra pixel gimmick ruined it.
although the press image looks ugly..a real photo of a leaked htc m8(which came along with the leaked benchmarked scores) looked very nice..i just want to see the side to side comparison of images of the m8's camera with other flagships camera shots..
This is ridiculous they wait so long with the announcement. Now all the people have seen this phone.
This phone looks ugly HTC One(2013) was better looking and i don't think camera will be good i didn't like the camera of previous One either. It should be at least 8 "ULTRA PIXEL".
I'm a user of both HTC One Max And HTC M7 all I want HTC to do is a tablet. I'm talking of tablet that will give IPad hell of tough time. My HTC One Max goes head to head with IPhone 5s. I need to be philanthropic to someone in order to get HTC M8. I'd also beseech HTC to make a phone like HTC Evo 3d that phone is sooooo beautiful. Nonetheless, HTC M8 will collect many accolades for the best phone in 2014 and best beautiful phone in 2014 and most popular phone in 2014. HTC for life no matter ( they know me in Pretoria "South Africa").
I don't understand the only thing visibly different from the first one is the dual camera so why should I upgrade if I had the one. I must admit I love Samsung I have a S3 from 2012 and I definitely want the S5 because of the share features with other Samsung products and I like the rectangular look, wish the S5 had boom sound though.
