Very satisfied with this phone. Fast and real quality build. Dropped couple of times to the edge and face down only a minor scratch to the housing. Excellent speed after the 5.0 update. Battery last for one day with hard use and always online.
Will recommend this phone.
Keep it up HTC.

You can manually update using RUUs and a Windows PC but make sure to back up everything (will wipe device).

The American virizone one is not getting software update . Showing a message that u are not on cdma sim . I don't have cdma in my country .what should I do guys?

I decided to keep my M8 (over buying new 5X for BF price of $299). M8 is still great phone after 1.5 years, still like it a lot.
No FM radio and no SD card slot killed the deal for me on a new 5X. HW just not good enough to switch.

I've realized that Megapixels never make any difference. So think of it this way, the M8's camera has lower megapixel count for an average photographer than they think, but an expert provides you some great shots with simplistic hardware, so as the M8's camera it may not impress many people, but to the trained eye it can wrap up a scene better than some other SLR cameras out there, believe me it can take great shots, as long as you can do it yourself.

jack, 28 Nov 2015hey bro tell me I m intrested to by htc one m8 and I m a gammer so tell me plz I can run smoth... moreThe One M8 definitely beats the 5X in most categories. the nexus 5X has some issues with the chipset they inserted to the device, it's the snapdragon 808 and that gives it a bit of lag, especially while gaming. I've been using the M8 since May 2014 and it felt, and still feeling, like a champ. I prefer HTC's sense skin on top of android's platform. However, the key advantage for the 5X is that it's a nexus, it receives immediate updates for its software. so think of it this way, if you want a smartphone that look and performs well, and has top class software experience go for the HTC. Otherwise, if you like to get the latest and greatest from Google's software asap, then get the 5X

This is the best phone ever !! I highly recommend it , i was between this and iphone 5s gold and i bought htc bc i'ts perfect in every way . And the camera is great !!
