it's fast, it's smooth and everything working just fine until U mess up with software upload ... then nothing works anymore, my calendar doesn't got notifications from Facebook and any account. HTC removed "htc remote" with peel remote ( don't have my country in options ) and of course doesn't work so I don't have remote control on my f***HTC m8 .... and I think this is my first ( it was awesome phone ) and last HTC , o I almost forgot my screen is scratched by fingers Wtf gorilla glass 3 probably is monkey plastic 3 and probably I'm monkey coz I buy so expensive phone

Not sure your experience with smartphones but maybe you better stick with a regular Phone and not a SMARTphone.

good points
good phone, runs smooth like butter. no lag, runs fast
battery life is very good. best speakers
quick charge v2.0. charge very fast
feels good in the hand. has premium design full of metal
love blinkfeed runs smooth
love camera special effects
going to get Android 6.0 update marshmallow
front camera good for selfie
Full HD 1080p good choice to save bettery
games run good. i.e. NFS most wanted etc
opening multiple apps together.
don't overheat
bad points
On screen button. M7 didn't have on screen button why m8?
don't like HTC big bezel.
wish HTC gets rid of the black bar under the screen.
needs a better camera OIS (back camera)
feels heavy compared to other phones
no finger print scanner

I finally upgraded to lollipop after a good six months of ignoring the upgrade message. It is a nice upgrade, clean and decent features. Was it worth it? Well it did get rid of that annoying upgrade message, and does not appear to have adversely affected battery or load times.

Chahal boyz, 28 Sep 2015I have HTC m8 last 3 months but I saw that Samsung galaxy. +note series Mobil display much bri... moreIts only like that in those 'measuring brightness tests',but lcd screens(htc,lg,sony,etc) are more brighter than amoled screen on samsung;yes,new samsung sreens are very bright too,but lcd screns are always a step ahead in terms of brightnes:amoled is always a step ahead in terms of sharpnes and contrast,so both amoled and lcd are great and both have their limits.

great phone from htc yes there are problems for other users due to device not build properly form company but got mine perfect handset imported an Australian handset in india bcoz og hardware diffrences got it right 11 months using with care no issues at all great product from htc with great software team work for updates on time

It is the worst phone I have ever used.
I had the same problem 4 times, same problem in touch - screen and HTC TURKEY and its TECHNICAK SERVICE WITHIN TURKEY WHICH IS KVK TEKNİK SERVİS HİZMETLERİ VE TİC. A.Ş. did not change the phone even it is under warranty .
After sales services are worse than bad.

I have disire 816 since last year but due to my usage the screen have been bloken but still working,
I dont want to shift from htc as i have secured box for sms,have application of private contact where even sms and log are hiden automatically,
To replace a screen needed only 70 usd,as am not about impacts of changes i need to change with upgrades and i think htc one series is the best as i need gun metal device instead of plastic.which one should i select on the mentioned series? Does it have a secured box?
