Still using this phone after more than 2 years. Battery life isnt what it used to be (probably my own fault from excessive mobile gaming), but rest of phone is still in top condition.
THE HTC 9 is the best phone I have ever had. I mean yes the camera is not the best but it works well. This phone can take a beating. If I could post a picture of it you would understand. I drop it kick it, slung it, stepped on it, dropped it in water. Its like an old Toyota pickup. It just keeps working. The battery goes almost all day depending on usage. I have no complaints. As a mater of fact I got a new one of ebay for 100 bucks and have yet to switch over to it. My wife got the HTC 10- not near as tough. She already broke it two time. Stick with the 9
I have this phone for more than 15 months. Still going strong, best buy ever. Very friendly to use. Would buy this phone anytime again.

Will My HTC Phone Get Android Oreo?
HTC hasnÂ’t released a list of supported devices that will get the Android 8.0 Oreo update. Well, not a complete list. So far the company has only confirmed three updates. We suspect others will get added to the list by the end of the year. Here are the ones we know about right now.
HTC U Ultra
ItÂ’s possible that HTC will release Android Oreo for devices like the HTC Bolt, 10 Evo, HTC One M9 or HTC One A9, but that hasnÂ’t been confirmed. Typically devices get updates for around 2 years from the day itÂ’s released.
While youÂ’re probably anxiously awaiting the update to Android 8.0 Oreo, that might not end up being what you get next. ThatÂ’s because we still expect an update to Android 7.1.2 Nougat for HTC devices, which is the last version of Nougat from Google.
HTC continues to roll out security patches and improve its phones with each release, and that includes Android 7.1.1 or 7.1.2 Nougat.
With Android 8.0 Oreo officially here and a new HTC-made Pixel 2 coming soon, updates are right around the corner. Check back often, as the moment we learn more from HTC regarding updates weÂ’ll share the details right here.

I have to charge the battery twice and even third times a day.
Anyone can help me ?
I've been using my M9 for like nearly 2 years for now. it fell down like more than 10 times but no issue yet. there was a small slowness few months back but after reset the phone the issue went off. photo quality is very good yet there are small stretch on 4 corners when on certain angle views. however this is so hardy phone I've been using from HTC brand. yes there is a heat issues and HTC MUST COME UP WITH A SOLUTION FOR THIS as this is a very good phone.
