Don't be worried about overheating. Mine has never gotten hot (warm maybe, but that's a part of having an aluminum case, it conducts the heat away from the phone's innards a lot faster). Even in reviews, they say that the phone hasn't overheated (or gotten too hot) when performing benchmark tests.
I love this phone! I just got it 2 months ago for my birthday and it's been absolutely perfect! I would definitely rate this phone 10/10. I used to have a 5S but I'm way happier with the M9.
The Sense 7 is amazing, great at adapting to my schedule when I'm at work or out running errands.
I like to travel so I take a ton of videos when I'm away and love the 1080p video recording - that combined with the BoomSound speakers placed in the front makes it SO much easier to share with family (I don't have to cup the phone anymore to amplify the sound)
One of my favourite features is the SD card slot, perfect for me because I take tons of photos/videos and I also store a lot of music on my phone so storage is never an issue anymore.
I've only had this phone for 2 months but I can't wait to play around with it more and get even better at using it! Highly recommend the M9, it's awesome!
if "HTC hero" can beat apple's iphone 6s/6s plus in main departments, (i mean display, benchmarks, sound quality, camera, battery life,"simple"(like iOS or more than) sense 7.0 or 8.0 and graphichs) i will stay with HTC forever. thank you High Tech Computer corparation
jpnad88 Thanks for your reply and I will go for it after thinking about the hot of the Snap dragon 810
I bought the M9. I love it. 9/10
People give it a lot of flak but its camera isnt bad AT ALL, and the battery isn't a big deal if it's run on power saver mode (and the new software update is boosting the battery time). It was a little strange at first coming from a S5 user but the phone just takes a little bit of time to get used to. Loads of features, the Sense app is pretty useful on the way to work.
Not a bad phone at all
SD Card slot
Battery could be more efficient
Updates could come a little faster
I'm wondering why HTC couldn't come up with a simple camera like iPhone 5S or iPhone 6. They're keeping doing this, doing that or adding new features while they couldn't even make a simple camera that works! HTC should learn to understand that ppl in this world nowadays are smart enough; they won't be fooled by cheap and low quality phones, so start to improve the camera first before you go deep down into designs...
Why flashlight is not included in M9. This is highly needed.please upgrade and include HTC original flashlight.
Anonymous , 03 Jun 2015Planning to have htc one m9,is it worth it to buy??Simple answer yes it feels nice in your hands very slim runs fast HAS AN SD CARD SLOT and on top of that HTC will give you a new one if u break it. The only negative is runs a little hot if you get it really working but it isn't uncomfortable just your phone is warm
I do put paragraphs and separated all my comments but when published end up as one paragraph,,baffled!!

Here'sToChange, 03 Jun 2015why HTC don't think about 20.7MP duo cameras with ultra pixel tech?if it's Samsung, they would have tried 20 ultra pixel but HTC thought that they have failed and ran away at 4 ultra pixel
if HTC use 20.7UP duo cameras set-up, people can feel 124MP camera qulity in your next smartphone, One M10.
why HTC don't think about 20.7MP duo cameras with ultra pixel tech?
