Seems an excellent mid-range phone. I'd get one if it was released outside Taiwan and gets future Android updates.

Anonymous, 19 Nov 2015Truly htc doesnt know what they ARE DOINGAfter the M7 they've kept on failing phone after phone (HUGE bezels/low battery capacity/bad camera/overpriced). No idea how it can be so damn hard to learn from their mistakes and avoid killing the whole company!

they are using various mediatek chips with similar specs of rest.....!!!Just went on to see HTC mobile list gosh so many 5" phones with same resolution little variation of ppi or chipset or ram or battery buy with different model names
HTC do plz have a good sales and marketing manager
Understand the need's of customers rather than producing tons of phones and unloading in mkt with efforts of vain later modify same phone add different model name
Take a test mkt strategy design one phone

If the price point is $399 or £299 and the audio and photo quality have remained the same as M9 and you are not a gamer then this HTC variant could be a really good buy.

I just received my A9 from the USA in Australia today and it is F..k .… amazing. It is hyper loads better than the GSM arena picture by a long shot. It is so sleek, so masculine. The critics were right about its look and feel. It is the best looking mobile phone I have ever seen. Seriously it is. Way way past my expectations. I wanted an apple look but I got so much better. This is the best mobile purchase I have made in 4 years an probably the best looking mobile I have seen. Now . . .i can finally see what the guys in the launch were excited about. The marshmallow on top and that screen. Stunning!! Do I sound excited. You bet. Well earnt HTC well earnt.

again mediatek processor? without fingerprint sensor?? huh, you must be kidding with your customer? i was a loyal customer of htc, after Htc M8, htc is going to flop soon, if you dont make any innovative design, in a near future you gonna flop, and the price of this phone should be 300$ maximum.
