[deleted post]If you decide to do it go with the international (but I really believe itís not worth it.)
I wish I could find a OTA copy of 4.3 (for me, being able to use my phone just the way I want is far better than saying I have a new ROM) and trust me you have to tell people it is a new ROM because it looks no different.
Mostafa Gad, 06 May 2014hi anthony . thanks alot for helping me to choose so :
1- im also choose bigger is better 2- ... moreI donít think you are going to have any completes with the CPU on the one MAX. I for one donít.
How we interpret ďlagĒ is relative. It all depends on what you are comparing it to.
If you are measuring response time delay in seconds than I say there is no lag.
Because from the time you tap/swipe, to the time it takes the U.I. interface to change is less than 1sec (most times it feels like instant).
But if you are a speed junky measuring in milliseconds then there is a few milliseconds delay in U.I. response.
If you are measuring it against the SIII or S5 as I did for basic task like going to the home screen, bringing up the app switcher, opening the dealer/contacts/calendar, it is way, way, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay faster.
Iím not talking about bench marks and all that crap. Iím talking about day to day real would use. This phone does not keep me waiting like my SIII did or like the demo my service provider gave me of the S5.
The only complaint I have is that Android 4.4.2 has put a restriction on writing to the SD card by 3rd party software and this may not have been a problem for me if HTC had a file manager build into the U.I. so I didn't have to download a 3rd party version from the play store, that is totally useless for EXT SD card management.
AnonD-260440, 06 May 2014hi anthony.thanks a lot for your answer. I cheched it.It is locked and s-on and build number i... moreDonít make a big deal out of not having 4.4.2
You are not missing anything.
You have to remember you are running sense 5.5 on top of the Android interface, so most of the changes made to Android you donít even see, because the phone was never running a pure version of android to begin with.
An in 4.4.2 itís still running sense version 5.5
It adds cloud print service (but are you part of the small percentage that needs that?)
And more Bluetooth profiles were added.
On the down side, flash support was removed & the ability to do any edit/write commands to the EXT SD card using downloaded software has been removed. I wouldnít hack my phone for that if I were you.
By the way, where do you plan to get original ROMs for this phone? Because I have the Hong Kong factory unlocked model and would link to restore it to 4.3 to get back my EXT SD write access. I have dead a lot about changing ROMs on this phone but never did it because I canít find copies of the original ROMs to download. And iím sure as hell not putting on a custom ROM.
You should also note that if you S-OFF your phone to root it, your finger print scanner will be disabled.
Donít worry, once you donít screw with your boot loader. You will eventually get the sense version 6 that is being worked on now for the ONE line 2013 models. (T-Mobile is just a bit behind on development as all the other versions are in Certification now. But you will get it as they are working on it)
the price is brand new in my country today 480$ waaw so great
last month was at 580 $
i will buy this beauty
hi raaj mangat . i agree with you that htc m8 main disadvantage on screen buttons with htc logo, halh inch waste of screen . so im really dont like it on m8 but there no news about new max ( m8 max ) i ask to buy max now or wait till we see m8 max ?
hi anthony . thanks alot for helping me to choose so :
1- im also choose bigger is better 2- updates dont matter with me even im now using htc chacha with android 2.3 so i will satisfy with android 4.3 and it doesnt matter with me the updates after 2 years 3- i really loved finger scan and its advantage for me than UI6 in m8 .. any way my last question is : im sure that max with snapdragon 600 + 2 g ram is equal to m8 with snapdragon 801 + 2 g ram as aperformance so is it true or false ? because i read that all pple say no lack with max .

Mostafa Gad, 05 May 2014i need decision please about ( max or m8 ) even im not interested about camera quality so 4 pi... moreBoth phone are great. The major differences are the camera, screen size, finger print scanner and updates cut-off date.
You said camera donít matter to you so you just have 3 things to look at.
Which screen size would you like more? (For me, bigger is better and applies to the battery too)
HTC Android update window is only 2 years from release date, that means the one max would stop getting updates 5 months before the M8 (how much of a big deal is that to you?)
Finger print scanner allows you to have a complex alphanumeric lock screen password but quickly get past it with the swipe of a finger. (Donít work when your finger is wet. Then you have to enter that long password you made)
Both are snappy so the CPU speed/age donít really matter and the ONE max is supposed to get sense 6 May/June so UI version donít matter as well.
Hope that helped.

I suggestions one max is better than m8.m8 screen look like same as m7,reson on screen buttons.htc m8 main disadvantage on screen buttons with htc logo, halh inch waste of screen.

If you check in your boot loader and it doesnít say ***LOCKED*** in the first line. And S-ON in the second line. Then you are not going to get any updates from HTC as your boot loader has been tampered with.
If you donít know how to get to the boot loader you can read my post with time stamp 2014-03-09 14:10 where I talked about clearing your cache partition. (itís part of those instructions)
AnonD-119255, 04 May 2014Hello Anthony, please suggestions me,how to benefits of rooted or non rooted htc one max.and b... moreBenefit of rooting is you can install whatever you like, no matter how harmful it can be to the security of your phone (and you can try to undo the SD CARD slot restriction)
On the down sideÖ. In a rooted ONE MAX, the finger print scanner will not work. This is to protect your print from malicious software. Also you will stop getting OTA updates as your phone has to be ďS-OffĒ by HTC Dev to unlock the booth loader which also stops you from getting updates from HTC.
I canít tell you which cooked ROM is best as I donít see anything Wong with the HTC ROM in the first place, so I havenít tried any cooked ROMs (and donít plan to). Not getting my data jacked is more important to me. But if you still want to root. Follow the link below.
i need decision please about ( max or m8 ) even im not interested about camera quality so 4 pixel is enough for me and finally i want aphone for along time without change so it must be a HERO for me . now what to buy ( max or m8 ) ?
Anonymous, 04 May 2014whats your opinion about max after you purchased m8 ? whats your advice pls ( max or m8 ) ?M8is just great nice looking phone performance is bit fast camera quality same as that of max bit of change with sense six.
But nobody can beat max for its massive display scribble functions on the large screen.
And max is best for watching multimedia.
Only one big difference is m8 is easy to handle with.
I think once we get sense update for themax ni need ti change your phone.
Max will become ultimate phone ones it get software update.
hi.my one max has t mobile sim unlock rom .but everytime I check for kitkat update it says your phone is up to date.so t mobile users still on android 4.3 or what?tnx

Damith22, 01 May 2014Hey guys..... I wish to buy this monster flagship coming from great great HTC and my question ... moreYou do just like iPhone users and take it to a dealer and have the battery replaced or upgrade to the newer model because by then Android software update support would have stopped for this model anyway.
Hey guys..... I wish to buy this monster flagship coming from great great HTC and my question is... These devices have non removable battery with aluminum uni body. If the battery dead what will happen to the phone? can we replace the battery? or what will happen to the phone? Please give me a suitable answer as soon as possible. Thank you.
