kishore, 30 Apr 2012What is DOA?
Get another model if this bugs you,say htc explorer.Once you get the DOA certificate from the HTC Service Center you return the handset(along with the box and accessories) to the retailer from whom you bought the phone and wait for him to get a replacement(new box).
The whole process may take 3-5 working days or even more depending on availability of replacement handsets(as it happened in the case of Raj - another user here @gsmarena). In some cases people have reported (here @gsmarena.com) receiving replacement HTC One V handsets with the same problems their initial handsets did.

AnonD-23537, 30 Apr 2012besides dying issue..htc one v is an excellent fone with solid built quality and premium beats... morethe phone dying is a pretty serious issue, and considering the fact that the folks at HTC Service Centers take over 5 days to replace a handset without giving you a standby set it is MAJOR issue!!!

the prices will probably fall to the INR 13.5k to 15k range soon

it's really great

only flaw, it doesn't have a front camera

So please give me a gud advice me.
SidC, 30 Apr 2012DOnt misguide it has only 1gb internal.....correct itYes you are right phone is nice but memory is only 1 GB.
overall HTC One V is a good choice.
I tried out this phone in the shops this week and found it to be less than desirable. The reviews do not make it clear about the screen display. Yes, it is very bright. No, it isn't very good quality concerning color reproduction.
