ahonda55,pls share your experience while using the phone....update if any problems if you ve faced any?
I am surveying & looking in depth specs of all the contemporary phones. Looks to me that there is a meagre choice as compared to HTC One V. Absolute value for money for the specs offered. Baring couple of manufacture defects that some have faced -- which could as well be replaced, seems to be an absolute flier! Though the value could have been added by overcoming niches like -- putting some more ram, atleast a front VGA camera & removing the chin -- the gadget could had become a beast to beat!!! I do agree of a few shortcomings that could be easily overlooked!
However requesting Weedss to comment upon following two points as has been using the phone & I want to buy today by evening -- urgent please:
(1) The overall durability of battery as it comes in a single piece. How many years on an avg does the battery functions & if wears; whether could be replaced!!!
(2) The no of messages that could be sent at a time, meaning whether it could send 100-200 messages on a single click if such big groups are made?
Expecting an expedited retort from you?
And the internal memory is NOT 4GB, it is almost 1100MB!
100MB for user data and 1GB for apps and pre installed ones, shame on you HTC to lie ;)
I feel like HTC saved a lot of options to reduce the phone price, no headset at all for example, but this is not a big problem, the phone itself is not bad and not good, been using it for about 6 hours, i feel good enough to say buy the phone if you need cheap and good phone.
The GPS antenna is IMPRESSIVE, i am getting 5 sats inside home in just a glance!! IMPRESSIVE
Can't tell about battery yet, WiFi reception is not very good and the Wildfire S was a bit better because the antenna is the small cover we remove to insert the SIM and SD cards..
AnonD-49339, 12 Apr 2012HELP!!
Any one v user please tell me how to set the default storage for Bluetooth transferre... moreI got the phone few hours ago!!!
I also want to set the downloads folder like my old Wildfire S!!
Also, I have big problem in bluetooth, when i send or recieve anything to my Wildfire S it goes perfect, but, i tried to send a photo and a song to Nokia 5800, data is corrupted, and i can recieve normally from the Nokia. AnonD-36799, 12 Apr 2012I bought this phone on the release day itself (2nd April). I found the below mentioned defects... moreDude,I think one v is not made for u..... u should go for neo v or Samsung I9003 Galaxy SL.
sumi, 12 Apr 2012hi wedess i wanna htc one v to buy next day can u please say about camera, battery backup.n all... moreHello sumi, u can check my previous posts and u will get all Ur answers......by the way its camera is not too good but it has many amazing features.
Battery life is very good, since it is a Li-polymer 1500 mAh which is a good performer. Also it has ICS with sense4 and both are power savers.
I can't tell u about its exact talk time but u can play games and music whole day.
Can I transfer my downloaded apps to my SD card? because I think 4gb of internal memory isn't enough.
The reviews say that the web browser is not up to the mark and is kinda choppy. Can you guys share your experience with it?
I bought this phone on the release day itself (2nd April). I found the below mentioned defects with in 3 days.
1. I noticed defective pixel in the top left corner of the display (look like display burn & visible only in white background),
2. Not able to play Some videos (it was played perfectly for the first 2 days). Remember this is not file format issue. (Error msg: "Sorry, Cannot play this video"). Videos playing perfectly with mobo player.
3. Some apps started by its own.
4. Not able to add some widgets (inbuilt) to home screen. eg.: People contact, Photo album, Photo frame..
I got DOA and replaced the mobile on 7th Apr. Again after 3 days same display problem, this time bottom left corner and video player problem.
I got DOA again today. I don want to replace with the same mobile again. dealer agreed to replace the mobile with any other brand. but there is no mobile with this much good same hardware & software specs in this price range...
Only choice is Neo V but i like HTC and Samsung UI..
deepak raoy, 11 Apr 2012i have placed a order for HTC desire S(online purchasing) but when look one V , i find it even... morethe major advantage in htc one v is ice cream sandwich...if you are ready to wait for the 4.0 update for desire s which will arrive this year, then don't cancel your order, its a good choice

HTC, 12 Apr 2012Hi all.. i bought a HTC One V just three days back (08 th apr 2012).. When i charged the phone... moreIf it is a manufacturing defect then i would get another One V as replacement.. coz i luv the fone very much for its awesome camera quality.. icecream sandwich.. good battery for a smartfone with android.. etc
Hi all.. i bought a HTC One V just three days back (08 th apr 2012).. When i charged the phone it got heated up very badly.. and then i realized that even when the phone is idle it gets extremely hot.. i then checked the phone storage.. i was shocked to see that instead of 4 gb internal memory it had only 100 mb of total internal memory.. when i inserted a 32 gb micro sd card the phone turned out to be an iron box.. i'm not sure if it is a manufacturing defect or if this particular model has these issues.. i ve give the phone to htc for replacement..hoping for the best..
alokme, 11 Apr 2012i've been using htc wildfire, and just love htc. i liked the wifi hotspot feature available ... moreYes. Yes it does. Most android phones now has it. Even mid-ranges like Xperia's and this HTC One V.
