I very much dislike the plasticky feel of samsung phones.
To people having problem with chin - All i can say is that the chin is not very pronounced (very gentle specially when compared to my prev phone - HTC hero)
[deleted post]On the loudspeaker point
One thing is i liked the loudspeaker quality very much..

I hope it will be available in lesser price.
So I think waiting for Ace 2 is better idea.
AnonD-49339, 10 Apr 2012So you are comparing one v with galaxy s plus.
I was wondering, why would anyone pay extra 3 ... moreI do agree that S plus has lower PPI , pentile matrix. But Super AMOLED is far superior for pure movie/video watching experience.
Even with Beats audio switched off audio is crippled .
Though it has better ISO 800(low light) , pics are saturated (daylight) , blurry.
Returned my HTC one v within 3days. Quite a dissapointment.
Bullshit design! Why that curve at the bottom? Why don't just make it straight like every other phone?

I was wondering, why would anyone pay extra 3 to 4 thousand bucks for a heavier, taller and thicker phone with lesser ppi also with older versions of , android, Bluetooth and its UI.
According to the camera features and details, both should be of same quality and with bsi and more ppi one v should win.
The bsi sensor u talked about is for the low light scene capture and not for the image quality so its obvious, and regarding Beats audio, I have experienced it so I m talking, it enhances the bass effect in a pretty balanced way....all you need is a good earphone. One more thing, s plus' ringing volume is very low while one v is loud enough to wake u up from dreams and so is its music on speaker.
Dude just go to a shop and try to hold both the phones in Ur hands, u will find the difference.
AnonD-49638, 09 Apr 2012Dear Weedss... or anyone..
PLEASE take a macro photo "closeup" and tell me if it is... moreI checked its close up pics using macro and its satisfactory neither too bad nor too good. You get a clear pic but once u zoom it in, its a bit blurry.
As I have mentioned it earlier, its camnera is a disappointment, however its HDR images are nice and bright.
If you are looking for a phone with good camera quality then one v is not for u. But its definitely better than wildfire s.
HTC one v has 3.7" IPS Super LCD 2 display. The display has very wide viewing angle and better colors. Blacks arent deep as AMOLED but still very good for LCD.
HTC One V has unibody design . I am not sure it has gorilla glass or not. Looks like like HTC legend.
-4GB internal Storage.Expandable via Micro SD card.
-Andoid 4.0 with Sense 4.
Audio quality is not satisfying compared to Nokia N8.
Tested on Sennheiser CX 300 ||
Beats audio is gimmick.
No out box divX/mkv playback.
720p mkv movies very laggy.
Screen is small for watching movies/videos.
Performance is slow for ICS .(Not Laggy)
Camera = worst .
HTC advertised this as BSI sensor but real shame on HTC.
Compared to Samsung S plus , i would say HTC one v would appeal to limited audience.
(For price of 17k this is really embarrsing phone. I would suggest Samsung Galaxy S Plus which is far superior but price is 21.5k , only downsides are older Android version )
Dear Weedss... or anyone..
PLEASE take a macro photo "closeup" and tell me if it is good or not, my wildfire s takes very good macro photos, does this phone also do the same?
Thanks a lot..
