you people keep saying battery life this battery life that 1800mah this it should be like that. if you want a perfect phone, go manufacture your own. oh, and i bet that those of you who are complaining didnt even know htc at or you want one but cant afford one.
just to let you people know, the 1800mah battery is not as weak as you thought it were. i use it for a whole day with moderate use. i charge it 6am in the morning leave the house at 8:30 with the phone being fully charged, go to the office from 10am-7pm i make about 30-40 text messages, approximately 30 mins of calls, 2 hours playing music, surf the internet for a total of 2 hours (with many windows that are open) using wifi as my connection. the phone still has about 65-70%%. i get home at around 8-8:15. play some online games and surf the net, again with many windows open for about 2 to 2-1/2 hours before going to sleep. leaving the phone with 30-35% left. i wake up again minus 2-3% at 6am then i charge the phone.
those who are complaining that htc phone heats up, c'mon what phone doesnt? of course if you make calls for more than 30mins, any phone would heat up. using the phone in any case would make it heat up. you've got to be kidding me. all manufacturers suffer from this. if you want a phone that doesnt heat up, then turn off your phone.
if you want to save battery life then put the phone in gsm mode. do not use automatic. just set it to automatic before using mobile internet.
the screen of the one x is very nice even if compared to super amoled, nice camera too. this is 2nd htc handset, one being the desire s. i've also used samsung galaxy s2 and sony experia are s. i can easily say a am happier with htc than any of the other 2 brands.
Ok I have 2 HTC ONE X's - one black and one white.
My comments are as follows:
Battery life - Not a problem. I'm a heavy user (music, messaging, email, facebook and twitter, youtube and general messing with the phone etc) Battery has lasted a full day from 100% charge.
Speed - That quad core processor does its job well!
Sound - It doesnt come with Dre Beats headphones, I have noticed the clarity and loudness of the audio even from using standard HTC headphones. VERY IMPRESSIVE.
Size - I have small hands and my last phone was a Sensation original. I found the Sensation quite difficult to handle. I think this is mainly down to the thickness of the phone because ONE X has a larger screen and is a bigger phone in general but i find it much easier to hold.
Browser - Very fast. One minor glitch I've found is sometimes when loading a new page, the address bar flickers off the side of the screen. This causes no delay however and I'm sure will be rectified with a software update.
NFC - Havent managed to get this working (although i have 2 ONE X'2 to test with. I will try later and give feedback.
Dropbox - At first I thought I had been ripped off. It gives you 2GB at first. However, you are upgraded to 25GB after creating an account and inviting one contact. (Follow the get started guide; but you only need to accomplish 4 of the 7-8 tasks).
Happy days!! Great phone, well done HTC.
yawar, 09 Apr 2012hey denzo please tell me the truth for battery life plzzzz and tell me also that u use it or n... moreit would be good if battery is removable and can be replaced with a bigger capacity

HTC ONE X
Quad core( sufficient for HD gaming and HD video's plus muti task apps)
Good Sized Screen 4.7( Hope can be easily handled by one hand and good for movies , games and browsing as well remote desk app)
Bluetooth v4.0 support( equal to wifi capable file transfer but not usefull currently)
HD media link( excellent accessories which overrides lack of HDMI PORT for screen sharing and video sharing)
gorilla glass for long life scratch proof
Lack of battery capacity as provisioned is 1800MAH( Could be atleast 2000 Mah)
LCD 2 screen being recent upgradetechnology not good enough as opposed to current SUPER AMOLED PLUS HD SCREENS
lack of SD card support.
Lack of OS optimization

if so, is it only for a limited time? thanks
Anonymous, 09 Apr 2012Just brought the HTC OneX yesterday. This phone is thinner than my Sony Xperia S. Played with ... morecan you please check if it supports arabic language also what do you think of the camera is it better than the iphone 4s? thanx
I just got my One X this morning and I'm not disappointed. The screen is beautiful, and colours look as if they're sitting on top of the glass. The battery life seems surprisingly good considering that I've used it non-stop today. Video play back is great, beats makes everything sound huge (I do love bass, and this is the first EQ system I've found that boosts the low end without compromising other frequencies), and most importantly, the Tegra 3 is lightening fast. The UI is intuitive, and drop-box and social network integration is seamless. Easily the best phone I have ever owned. The camera is great, though perhaps a little too much noise. Still, 10/10 for me. Well done HTC, just prioritise rolling out updates over new handsets and I'll stick with you.
wot no GPS
What does (Yes, with A-GPS support)
'No' unless you buy an add on, retrograde spec, GPS should be a given, some customers will buy this in error and won't they be P'd off.
Anonymous, 09 Apr 2012Is it available in kuwait? No, U can get it from expansys, handtec or clove.
Bought the HTC one X. Amazing. wife bought the new iPhone while I was wondering what next to since I bought the samsung google nexus 2 years ago.Got addicted to Android.Has lost faith in HTC after they released all similar phones after Hero.
I feel HTC One is damn good. Its slick and the photo editing is amazing.ICS is superb and pleasure to work.the internal memory is fab. This is the phone to buy for this easter break.
Just brought the HTC OneX yesterday. This phone is thinner than my Sony Xperia S. Played with this phone for a just to get the basic set up. HTC UI not as nice compare to Sony UI. The screen is nice, but not as nice as the Xperia S, also apply to the camera. The "Mirror" - front camera, quality not so good either. Ring volume sound on the low side, and in-call voice quality not that great.
On the plus side, the design is nice. Build quality good. Speed is much higher then the Xperia S. I also appreciate that the fonts adjustment are build into the phone. In my opinion, the look is nicer than my Sony.
I'm charging my phone right now - for the first time.
hey denzo please tell me the truth for battery life plzzzz and tell me also that u use it or not??
Why does HTC make great phones but sells itself short on the battery? With a 4.7" display, I would expect nothing less than a 2000mA battery. I dumped HTC for Samsung for this sole reason. Even the Nokia Lumia 900 with a 4.3" display has a 2000mA battery!

Denzo, 09 Apr 2012Hi MegaShipz, belw is a copy of what i wrote for someone else.
"So my battery opinion ... moreDenzo,
That was an excellent workout with HTC one X.
That's much similar to what I will mostly be doing with it.
As, I've mentioned before HTC has a history with Battery life, Speaker quality, some what picture quality + the damn thing gets warm.
I've been using Sony my entire life. its sad Sony xperia S has an old processor. While all other companies are pushing forward to new tech. Sony is still doing bananas with that old boy.
I appreciate you time to my reply. Thank !
oh yes... I'm very much concerned about sound / music interface on HTC one X
Can you please tell me if it has a custom EQ? , I have no clue
& how is the sound on Headphones.. not the Beats by dre headphones tho.. regular headphones.
I have Skullcandy: Mix Master Mike
MegaShipz, 09 Apr 2012Yes, I will appreciate if you may tell us about Battery life (Moderate use - Social Networking... moreHi MegaShipz, belw is a copy of what i wrote for someone else.
"So my battery opinion so far, I have only done one complete charge so far. I am now finishing my second battery cycle. Its a li-po battery same as the iPhone battery.
Its good. Not as good as 4S. No.
Better by a mile than the HTC Desire. Not bad considering quad core 180x720 screen.
I took phone off charger at 11AM precisely. It is now 6.33PM. I have 14% battery left. Why you may ask? So soon?
Well, I have done a little more than usual for my test. I have watched 2 movies (or at least let them run) One was 1:34:37, 640x336 res.
The other was 320x180 1:19:40. They looked upscaled on the phone though. Thats nearly 3 hours of movies.
I played Scabble for about an hour all up. I have 4 email addresses set to smart sync (busy in peak). And lastly, I have volume up half way, screen up halfway, and bluetooth, Auto sync, and WIFI on the whole time.
Some idle time ofcourse. And also some internet for about 30-45 mins, maybe more.
14% left. The iPhone 4S that I have, would last a little longer. Phone does get warm, but so does iphone uner stress. Oh yeah I also played that mario Kart copy, tiki kart. Screen looks amazing the more you look at it.
Its butter smooth, i am not getting any of these loading issues people are supposedly getting. No wierd hangs. Nothing but pretty good software actually. I do however still like the form factor of the iPhone (specifically, the size) I love the One X, feels like a quality build, like a Lumia 800/N9 (polycarbonate). very smooth UI, camera is a treat, quick.
remember, iPhone has 960x640 (614,400) with a 1430mah battery, the One X has 1280x720 (921,600 pixels)screen with a 1800mah battery. Using simple math that equates to exactly 50% more pixels on a screen that is 25% bigger. So battery was never going to be better I think.
I am liking being able to play nearly any type of videos on the HTC, something I am not used to coming from the Apple iPhone. The HTC sense looks so nice, and makes others look bland in my opinion. Make your own mind up about size. I cant say smaller is better, because someone else might love big screen for videos.
I do however still have to give the iPhone the crown for the smoothness of the apps. NBA.tv, speedtest.net app, and even twitter all look much nicer on the iPhone. They look good on the Android platform, but they dont have that edge the iOS apps have in terms of resolution, sharpness, options, layout etc. Ill make a youtube video for you guys to have a quick look at what Im talking about. nothing fancy, justa quick look."
I have added since that I believe the 4S takes better photos, but the menu system on the ONE X seems more comprehensive.
Battery is better on the 4S, definitely. But, the battery is ok on the ONE X.
Not the best and I will update after I have had a couple more charges as Im only on my 3rd/4th day of ownership.
Its not the bluetooth, or 3G, or videos that kill the battery on the ONE X, its the screen, its big!
I have however had an issue where my phone got some funky green lines on the screen when in camera, I had to reset for them to away. Like software static??
And the battery was worse today becasue I played scramble all day!
Keep in mind, my iPhone 4S was using battery, all of it, in about 5 hours due to some glitch crap when it came out, I had to restore and do this and do that, and let apple release a patch, and only then was it humming along. So I wait and see.
Stand by on the HTC is a breeze, you could get 5 days I reckon, its the screen that kills it!
