Hi, I have this problem, maybe its a well known problem actually. My HTC One X is completely dead and wont turn on. I cannot charge it either via computer USB or wall charger.
The last time it was working, it got freeze in homescreen. I shut it down/reboot it forcefully (hold the power button for approx 10 seconds). Then it could start up to homescreen but it froze again. I repeat the process and once it shut down, it did not turn on and the battery depleted completely until this very day.
On various forum that I visited for solution, many other owners got this problem and some of them can at least connect it to PC and have it charged somehow. Mine did not even detected by PC.
Are any of you guys having this problem? How would you suggest me for a solution? Thanks for your time.
eddy, try to root your phone...my htc is rooted and i don't have any problem...i use it since octomber
Jelly Bean 4.1.1 update has totally screwed my wifi connection!!! the status bar shows full wifi network whereas none of the internet related function run!!! and shows error in connection or no internet connection!
fix it HTC or i will be forces to switch to some other brand!!!
I am using this phone since September and all was working well, but 2 days back I received the upgrades to 4.1.1 Jelly Bean and HTC sense 4+ and it screwed all my internet based communication. Wifi shows connected with full range but there is no real time update of any of my Internet based apps.
Also when I tried to transfer data from the Phone to my PC the transfer stops in between and it stops responding. the New update has completely removed the previous USB connection options of connecting as a Mass storage or for charging, instead it just shows options of USB for Network connection.
I wanted to transfer all the data and reset the phone to factory settings.
If any one has any solutions to these problems please suggest some. Thanks

I've been using Desire Z for the past couple years and haven't had any major issues with it, if even minor. If you could see how many of the devices sold and how many are complaining about issues with it, maybe we'd see this whole thing differently!
