Hey!! I want to know how can I upgrade this phone with windows mobile 6 ? I have the software in my computer but I can't find a way to install it in my s620... anyone ?
i got a question...
does this phone has game? i mean game like jawbreaker... thanks for the answer
is it possible to install some navigation program and use gps over blootooth?
This is probably my 6th or 7th phone within 2 years and i have to say that this is downright one of the best. First off, the battery is EXCELLENT! I am a university student who uses this phone for text/email/wifi internet, and music. (music basically all the time because i commute to and from school)...and the battery still lasts through that.
Solid Feel - The phone has a very very solid and warm feel to it when its in your hands. (no homo). The materials are nice as well. Buttons are decent sized and once you are used to it, you can even get away with typing/texting without looking at the Qwerty keyboard, which i find is great.
Options - The phone has great options. My carrier is Rogers AT&T (Canada). So it is branded and locked as a Rogers phone, and still comes with great features. I can appoint mp3 files as ringtones, set my own backgrounds, search for wireless networks, use internet explorer, use media player, play videos. etc. the only thing that gets my annoyed sometimes is the lag/delay time that comes when u have multiple programs open. and that u cannot close programs like an actual window. u HAVE TO go to the task manager and manually close openedd programs. BUT that is not as bad as it sounds. Keeping multiple programs open as bad as it sounds does NOT, i repeat, does NOTTTT drain your battery as you might think. It will only drain the battery if the program is ACTIVE/IN USE.
KEYPAD - the phone has a nice key pad too. it has a nice cool blue backlight which makes it easy on the eyes when using the phone in the dark. Speaking of easy on the eyes, its a sore when you are looking at the screen in the dark, cuz as far as i've looked in the menu's i still cant turn down the brightness of the LCD screen which should be a straight forward feature even in sh*t phones too.
SLIMMMMMM =) - This phone is really thin and has a great shape compared to other PDA style phones. All my friends see this phone as ask to hold it, and ask, "Woahhh man, its so slick, so thin....." Then i tell them its called the Excalibur, n i feel like a bad ass. So im sure you lot will get the same feeling as well lol.
JOGGR - The name given to the touch sensitive part on the right hand side near the screen is quite annoying. Scrolling with it is 'fine', but its more accurate if u just manually use the up/down buttons and the enter/submit button. Double tapping it takes just too long cuz it doesnt recognize the taps sometimes. but again, its also cool when u show someone the phone for the first time and u bust out showing them the 'cool scroll touch pad'....badass ego once again. (by the way, the Joggr CAN be turned off.)
Overall, great phone, great size (thin), battery is excellent, features really good too. Although the pc-to-phone sync system could be faster and more convenient. highly recommended. Peace!
does the htc s620 have the feature called "Minute Minder"?
it's when you're reminded every 2 minutes that you have an unread message
whats the difference between this and the htc s630? just the 400 mhz processor and 2 megapixel camera?
is it posible to install navigation software. Will it work using GPS device over blootooth?
hi does anybody understand why I can't sync from my pc to the device trying to get the my music?
Vibrator - My 620 no longer vibrates, does anyone know if there is a way to get it back, other than sending it in for repairs? Thanks.
I am confused between buying an HTC product an O2 or a samsung windows based device . I had tried the O2 mini when it had launched about 2 years ago , apparantly they were really costly then . My O2 used to hang a lot and after 2 months i had to sell it off due to problems like hanging ets .
My question for now is which is a good windows based phone , i mean what brand should I go in for HTC,IMATE,O2 or SAMSUNG.
my email is firstname.lastname@example.org would really need an expert advise on it
HTC S620 (Excalibur) review :)http://eng.mobiset.ru/articles/text/?id=29
I've had mixed input about HTC S620 being able to talk via wi-fi SKYPE. Some people say the processor is not fast enough, other say that I must upgrade to windows mobile 6.
Also, I have a Macintosh computer, will that work?
Hi! For that person asking about upgrading to WM6 on unlocked S620. I upgraded and loving every bit of it. I upgraded using the rom on HTC that they released on Aug 28th, 2007. Just a note to you that plan to do this, when your phone reboots after initial install, it is normal for you to "be stuck" in the startup window for about 5mins, so don't be impatient :)
If I have Windows Mobile 6.0 in the S620, can the phone read a 4 gb memory card?
i have a dopod 720, i use lotus notes at office and would desperately looking for software to sync with my calender....any suggestions greatly appreaciated......i need to sync through the cable
please help to share any information of upgrading from window 5 to 6 for any one who are not T-mobile users ? appreciated if any one can guide more in details.
Is there some liquid (screen, etc) inside the HTC S620, that when leaking out can dissolve the plastic casings? The liquid that came out my phone had a strong odour. The phone is 3 months old and liquid damage is not under warranty.
