I've been using this phone for about a month and all was working swell until the other day it just shut down. The only way I could get it back was to do a hard reset which of course wiped out my data and settings. It has an O2 3G card in it. Since I restored it I'm only able to set the phone band settings to auto. I used to be able to select GSM and Euro. Now when I try that I get an error messages that says: The data call exists. Please try again later.
Anyone know what this means? The phone seems to be working fine. I just get a weaker signal at times because it's only moving between 3G and HSDPA.
Otherwise I like the phone. I had the S620 before this and like it as well. This is a very small phone that just does what it's supposed to and is good at mail, the web and as a phone.
hey ive had one for awhile except mine is dopod c730 branded. Anyone know where to get an external antenna adapter or something of that type.
I need help with this phone, someone please try to help. I Iaccidently reset the device and now the phone's main language is in Chinese (it restored the phone back to factory settings). Can someone please tell me or show me how to change the language back to ENGLISH? I can't read Chinese and it's impossible for me to navigate the phone with the Chinese ...Anyone please help, I would be greatly appreciative. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org
I just got this phone (mine is white and it really doesn't look as bad in real life as it does in the picture) but I'm having some difficulties with a few things. so for whoever has this phone, it would be great if you could help answer these questions:
1. how do I create groups for my contacts so I could just set one picture/ringtone instead of having to go to each person individually to do it?
2. everytime I log onto msn, all my msn contacts show up in my contacts/phone book list. then I manually go through and delete them, but then I go back on msn and there they are again in my phone book! does anyone know how to stop that?
3. is it possible to change the font color on the home screen? or the font type for the whole phone?
it should have a2dp profile because it comes with stereo bluetooth...
whats the difference between this and the htc s620 aka the dash? just the processor and megapixel camera?
hi guys. presently using an imate k-jam for my love for windows os , full qwerty keypad and my frequency of updating/syncing/creating/editing and viewing word and excel files and also the immensely indispensable wi-fi. but really missing the blackberry push email feature.can anybody tell me abt any device with windows os , full qwerty keypad , wifi and blackberry connectivity.if not , then pls advise whether sacrificing the windows os and going in for the nokia E61i is better or the blackberry 8320. i mean , does one face major problems in a non-window os for normal "office" apps. pls reply asap. thnks and rgds
Compare to the photo posted on this site, the S630 is not that ugly when it's in your hand. It's a very nice phone. I do enjoy the WM6 upgrade but I do miss the quick launch mail key that is on the S620. It would have been great if HTC kept the same design of the S620 on the S630 with all the upgrades.
I had the Cosmo from O2 and I just got the HTC 630, the reception on this phone is not good as the Cosmo. So I'm still using the Cosmo.
The battery life is ok,not very impressive; If your have several mail boxes to synchronize quite often, then you may have charge it every day. I turned of Blue tooth, wifi, and manually synchronize instead of automatic...need to charge it every 2 to 3 days; I don't make a lot of phone calls. Overall, it is a powerful device if you set it up right. Just for your reference.
can anyone please tell me if the battery on the s630 is good as i used to have the samsung i600 which was battery but hated the short battery life. i am getting the phone tomorrow so would like to know so i can return it if the battery is bad.
Dull looking. In fact, it looks ugly. Works wonderful though and is speedy. Certainly not for everyone. Those who want a great device should buy this but not those who aim to impress with the looks of their devices.
