Dear Users, by comparing the specifications of this HTC Diamond and the new launched Apple iPhone 3G, in all aspects it can do, which of this items do you think is superb and sexy and powerful in what it can deliver.
And even more: it makes me lough my ass off when some dumbos start to blabber about absence of SirfStarIII or something like that - I would like to enlighten you - any built in GPS with E-GPS (Enhanced GPS) technology (which is new and/or even first used in a pda-cellphone) kicks ass of the most gps devices. For more info - RTFM about e-gps.
And jus by the way - it seems that many of you weepers did not have had even single HTC product, not even mentioning the very Diamond, to compare and express more weighty opinion then just some stupid whinings ;)
I have it. As well as I have Touch Cruise, so there is the comparison: DISPLAY - Cruise so-so, Diamond great; AUDIO (using standart included headphones) - Cruise nothing special, Diamond - rocks your ass off (I did not believe it until I tried); SIZE - Cruise so-so, Diamond best in the world; and now suprise suprise - CAMERA - Cruise splendid (tried in a dim surroundings) and Diamond sucks :|... PERFORMANCE - comparing to Cruise Diamond a bit faster (except Touch Flo 3D). By the way, though I'm living in such god forsaken place as Lithuania I guess it still suprisingly kicks ass in delivery 'cause I got Diamond, and many of you don't ;))
Some say this is Iphone killer. I don't think so.... where's the triband 3G??? Here in Brazil, we have only 850 and 2100Mhz bands for 3G. TyTN II is better option, it's triband. Where's the flash light? Where's battery more powerfull?
Battery life may be poor, but it does charge up quickly. It only takes 45 minutes to get a full charge.

Since you had this phoen longer than me. Can you tell me how to use the Touch screen? Like whne you are on faverit contacts how you make the photo move? sometimes is slow to respond but soemtimes is too fast on the contact list to move and not easy to stop it.
I have the HTC Diamond now for few days. I love it but have 2 problem with the phone. 1) the phoen get hot very quickly. i do not know why is design that way. maybe be beacuse too slim. 2) the screen is not that sensative in touching and sometimes do not respond. make you very frostrated. I think HTC Diamond has it's owen way fo doing it not like IPHONE which I have not learn how to do it yet. Anyhow I love the phone I just need to learn how to use the screen.

HkBoi2002, 12 Jun 2008Hey guys, I have own the Diamond for about 2 weeks now and I must say this phone does impress ... moreHey HKboi... Did you get your phone in HK? How much is it over there?
How is texting feel like on this phone? I text quite a bit and I am wondering if it is easy to text with this phone. Hope it is better than the damn iphone...
Thanks a lot for your help!!
Hey guys, I have own the Diamond for about 2 weeks now and I must say this phone does impress me. I was reading through the blog and just wanted to help answer some questions some of you have:
1. I have been watching movie on this phone on both Divx and Window Media Player, so far the video playback format that works for me are: divx, .AVI,and MP4
The movie playback is smooth and it displays great color quality. However you will need your headset to get the best sound quality since the speaker is not as good.
2. For all the people living in the USA, my carrier is T-Mobile and I assure you that GSM 1900MHz will perform just fine in most area. (Please refer to T-mobile Map for 1900mhz coverage area) The Edge connection is also working fine for e-mail, MSN Messanger, weather, and Internet browsing (19.99 Internet Plan), but no 3G connection since T-mobile don't have it yet and I doubt it will work even if they have it.
3. The phone can perform a little bit slow if you have many programs running at the same time. I find that running 2-3 applications at a time is the best it can do without hindering its performance. Example: listening to Music and browse internet the same time will work fine. Listening to music while going through photo album will be fine also. If you intend to watch a movie, then that is all you should do since it slows down the phone ALOT!
The battery life I'm not too sure about, but my experience is that 1 hr of doing nothing but listening to music will take about 10% of your battery life. Watching a 2 hr movie will drain about 30-40% of the battery life defend on the brightness you set your screen to.
I have begun to switch off my Edge connection when I'm not using it and it seems to last me a little longer, but I have gone through a full day (talking on phone for 1.5-2 hr, listen to 1 hr of music, and browsing internet on 1 battery charge without having to recharge.)
Hope this helps you guys! The Diamond is a great little phone, but now that the Samsung I900 is out, all bet are off!
