@ ginge_uk nothing needs to beat the iphone because it already is. if ur lookin for features it sux, nokia n95 (or n95 8gb easily beat it). if u r looking for a camera phone it sux. if u r looking for a multimedia phone its alright but it lacks memory card slot(s) which most other multimedia phones hv. it is overrated and overpriced. iphone was not the first phone to hv multitouch. in fact they were not even the first to use the term multitouch. a company called stantum first used that term. as for sweep controls and navigating on the touchscreen the iphone copied a company called neonode which produced the first touchscreen with these sweeping gestures to navigate. so ur just an apple fan if u say that apple r the best because they created this technology and now ppl r copying them. if u look at the specs of this fone it also beats the iphone it has everything the iphone has at least (except less memory but that cud increase iphone also started with 4gb). u cant say the iphone is definitely better than this without even having tested it.

But the funny thing is, he's the very first one to even mention the iphone in here, lol. My advice to you ginge_uk, read the posts first and don't just assume that everyone in here thinks that all phones are after your iphone, lol.
this seems like a great phone, i really like it, but i wouldn't replace it with my N95_8GB. Still, for those who want something diffrent and also that has good performance, this is a good choice
Just wait for the Raphael announcement. It will share similar specs, use the same UI, but will have full slide-out QWERTY. Just hope for a larger battery since the phone will be closer to the Xperia's thickness. Diamond is more for the fashion conscious.
ITs a Mixture of NOKIA (Prism 7500+Sony Windows phone X1) BUt some time things look nice by mix Match.
It look like a fun phone.. wish that they showed the sms input, and had at least a 1500mah batter... what are the creaters of such phones thinking people want more battttttery life... get in in ur heads sacrifice a few mm of space i dont care.. its already a big phone
seems to b an amazing device , aq bit like sony Xperia which has a PRISM diamond design..............
Engadget also says that it is Quadband,I really don't know it's real specs.
Most hipsters want a cool design and cool UI. Good price too. Any interface with animated transitional eye candy will appeal to the masses because they want to show it off to the crowd. HTC just created one today. Too bad it left off the 3.5mm headphone jack and terrible 900mAH battery!
people are quick to call this the x1 killer but you all are forgetting htc designed the x1...so you know they're getting a chunk of the x1's sales when it comes out...but yea the diamond needs a physical keyborad and flash.
Nice design, nice features but not enough. There is no memory card slot, no flash, no long battery life. SE X1 has all of these missing features (it supports memory card up to 32 gb) and besides it's display much more good than diamond's. It is possible that Diamond will be faster than X1 but I think that won't be a big deal. Still X1 is the best! (there might be some grammar mistakes in my post, if so sorry for that. I am still learning english:) )
looks good, to bad its windows...
Ever since the iphone came out everytime a good looking touch UI mobile comes out everyone goes on that it could be the 'iphone killer' and everytime they are wrong. At the moment nothing can beat the iphone especially if the rumoured 3G version hits in summer people will have no need to look elsewhere. granted the htc looks amazing even though they have just copied apple's 'cover flow' just made it look a bit different but it will prob be about the price as the iphone if not more so wots the point just wait til summer and get a 3G iphone.
