I bought this phone as replacement to my nokia 8800 sirocco. I love this phone very much because it is shorter, slimmer and a lot lighter. Also, it is a pda phone.
The screen size is just prefect for my everyday use since I do not need big screen for internet exploring. It also good enough for gps navigation (I put the phone on my car speedometer dashboard). With tuned (dim) backlight, tomtom 7 can last almost 2 hours on full charged. Garmin XT somehow consume a lot more battery, may be because of heavy 3d graphic.
I was always looking for a small pda phone to fit my jean's pocket easily and I found one now. I am happy with this phone.

what happened if your phone doesn't show the battery icon. what can i do to have it back again? i dont know what happened that i just doenst see it.

Disappointed, 23 Jul 2009Nice design etc etc. Really disppointed overall. Started using this device 4 weeks ago. Hangs ... moreits not that bad ihave many friends that hane the diamond and are very satisfied with it .

From what i've heard i am really disapointed with the diamond.many friends of mine bought it and are very satisfied with this phone .Overall you need to be lucky when buying an htc .Don't you agree ?

I have a problem. My phone does NOT go to sleep during calls. I have used 3rd party application like diamond tweaks & advance config and enable allow sleep during call but stil doesn't work. For those who have problem with this I must tell them that it is a very useful,one is battery saving,second it avoids from unwanted touching the panel by cheeks.

Nice design etc etc. Really disppointed overall. Started using this device 4 weeks ago. Hangs like a mini PC, Finger controls don't work well, screen alignment poor. When phone rings, won't let me answer call 8 out of 10 times when I press the screen . battery life is poor. When I'm talkling on the phone, screen turns off. When I try to scroll from home across to Contacts, messages, mail, etc, it jumps to the extreme right to Favourites, can't get it to stop. Don't try reading your Contacts to dial a number while you are driving - no chance. Largest size text still too small. Synchronises with Outlook ok, but can't drive anything from PC like software from Nokia. The worst part is the touchscreen is disappointingly unreliable - I'm sick of taking 5 -10 minutes to turn it all off, remove the battery and start again. If you want a phone, this is not for you. Haven't even got to other functions like music and video - basic functions don't work. Tried logging into HTC support site to donwload new software but each time I enter serial number I get the message "not for your model". Sorry guys- what a piece of junk!

someone earlier said and i agree that the latest rom update on indian site, for sure, improves battery life and touch flo experience...

htc diamond available in india doesnt have 3g frnd..but its a beautifull phone with a too good a cam for 3.2 megapixel camera...i have used n95 and omnia with 5 mega pic camera trust me diamond with 3.2cam can give a tough competition in daylight shots..just few adjustment in settings will do the magic..only draw back abt camera is no flash..in absolute dark no use of cam..but in nights with sufficient lightings clarity is still good...

this is the worst cell phone i've ever got, totally not what i've expected... the buttons actually peeled off the phone... the system always freeze, change time by itself and the mic got busted just after 6 month of use:@

THis phoe battery is very very bad, for those who require a min talk time of about 2 hts per day and wants to listen to music then plz dont buy this phone since the battery sucks, look and feel of the phone is good touch screen is good, once you are connected to WM then the phone hanhs switches off and switches on automatically. battery talktime does not come even upto 50-60mins.

i bought this phone bundled with airtel..not yet updated the new rom available...i have used many pda s brfore but i have a prob with this..usually when connected to computer which has an internet connection even we could use it in pda also once synchronised..now its not possible..anyone please HELP ME OUT..msdarshan.mbbs@gmail.com
