-to check firmware go to start >setting>system >device information about
-to make sure all your date is saved on memory card go to file explorer you have two places to save your data 1)my device'its phone memory ' 2)internal storage'is your memory card'
-if your WiFi is on and connected to a WiFi network your phone always uses WiFi to download if not GPRS .

don't have the new battery yet. not sold in my country yet.
if there's many background process (programs running), there will be a little delay, just a "little"..else it's very smooth and nice.

ksra, 10 Aug 2008okay, this is my opinion having a touch diamond.. i LOVE this phone, very worth of my money.... moreDidn't they come out with a new battery thats supposed to last longer than the original? Plus, how's the lag? the response time between tappin something and it actually opening up. i hear alot of complaints bout the screen being slow due to touchflo? aslso did you download the new ROM?

-how make sure we save songs and picture into memory card and not internal memory; and
- how to make sure we are using wifi for downloading and not GPRS which is charged. thanks

i LOVE this phone,
very worth of my money..
everything is almost perfect..
ONLY 1 NEGATIVE : BATTERY LIFE..
cannot last a day when using much data connection and other advanced feature...
other than that, AWESOME !!

that's so much of a hyperbole that u said..
first, after u upgrade it, it's NOT slow, and the responsiveness is awesome.
i don't want to argue about iphone coz the comparison things is so yesterday.

go find the smartphone/PocketPC forum. coz there, u can find almost all software for winMo OS (and free).
i recommend www.dotsis.com

had my diamond for about a month. love the phone after flashing the rom but the lack of apps for it is so depressing, is no one making decent freeware for winmo? my mate at work has an iphone and constantly has random applications that make the phone that tiny bit more fun/better, but im just stuck with.....teeter and google maps. any one wanna recommend any decent sites for winmo apps?

Just got play with one of these. What a massive disaster! Looks lovely on the posters and the obviously faked YouTube videos, but when you actually start to play with it, it's slow as hell, the touch screen does not respond (even to the stylus!) well and the interface is inconsistent. This is a pity because the Diamond is small and the magnetic stylus is a great idea. Now you know why Apple took 5 years to produce the iPhone, they ensured what it DOES do it does well. HTC, stick to hardware and find another OS.

sory i just the first time use pda phone.i still can not set the wallpaper for the center of the phone.and i also have problem when use wifi.cannot connect to the hot spot.can any body help me.thx

theoritically yes, just buy the triband, do the update n it should become quadband..

wallpaper : go slide the touchflo to setting
do some exploration on your phone to know it better.. :D
