after years of use it is my main phone. the most beautiful handset ever produced. (my friends still wanna buy it). Razorsharp display, durable build. Sadly the battery is underdesigned (does not matter, have charger at home and in the car). I guess the processor is also underdesigned due the vga disp. (my trinity is much more fluent with spb mobile shell). Collects fingertips just like other shiny black finished handsets. very painful the lack of mem card slot, but can live with it. so far one stylus has been replaced. massive built, serves long ago. a piece om heart, never sell it. lives together by me with a trinity a desire z.

cinan ahmed, 16 Sep 2011how do i upgrade the software on my htc diamind 1 Htc has removed it's older phones from it's support website (don't make any sense) though they are considering listing them back. I recommend using a custom rom. Carefully choosing the right one will bring new life back to your diamond.

I have been using this phone since two years. It looks beautiful, one of the most beautiful phones launched by HTC.Lets start with battery, its bad, battery drains very fast when one uses Wifi,Videos and calling. It has to be charged in a day minimum.Though tweak came for it,1340Mah battery but dont buy it,it hurts the system cause the board was not configured for the thick battery hence one has to use the normal one.Another disadvantage is the touch, you have to use stylus for most of the time for accuracy. Also the application, there are very few say 20..thats it.

I still love it,cause it looks classy and does all the remaining functions. But yeah For new users DONT BUY IT.Those who have it dont sell it.It is a masterpiece of that time.
Using it since its launched!!

Good:
Display is Good

Bad:
Very Poor battery. It lasts a day if you don't use it.
The back cover is loose and it becomes difficult to handle phone
The touch is not very responsive and small icons make using the phone very difficult
Difficult to forward messages
Although the phone has an unified search, there is no separate search for Music player app
No memory card slot
It takes time to understand how to use Bluetooth on this device
Not very user frienly

nits, 30 Aug 2011please tell me any good battery for htc diamond? Ok I found out that there are a few good quality batteries for diamond. If you buy a 1100 mah battery that is same size with the original one, it is reasonable because it is possible to manifacture a battery as this. However, there are some 1600 mah batteries same size sold online, don't trust them because it is not possible to make such powerful battery with a small size.

Also, you can buy an extra battery with +2400 mah, but it will thicken your phone, which may make your battery look 'ugly'

In addition, to improve your battery life, install 'sktools' and optimize your phone with 'max memory'. it will help you save the battery.

You have to reduce the screen brightness as well.

Lastly, you might want to install ''easy today launcher'' instead of touch flo 3d or mobile shell 3d, both of them drain more battery than easy today launcher.

good luck
