I'm using my HTC Diamond for a couple of weeks now. It is a great phone and I'm quite happy with it. Although it is a little slow and it has numerous bugs. I hope to see a possible upgrade, because it is annoying. For example, I cannot forward any SMS. The "Forward" option is visible, but disable. Also when I search for a name to send an SMS, if I type "John" it will propose the first John it founds, but I cannot select another one. As soon as I type "space" to add the last name it will select that first "John". So annoying... I'm not sure it was well tested, as I saw many little problems like that. I need to look for ways around to do simple things. Also when using Block recognition it is not suggesting words as you type (my 5 years old XDA II had that feature).
hi, it is now 4 days i bought a touch diamond and have problem with its battry life.
i have to charge it once a day for normal use of gprs and wireless systems and if i want to use gps as well then has to charge it twice per day.
please help me if you have any info.
with every ones comment on the battery draining quite fast, the htc is always connecting to the net due to whether updates or emails, if you double touch the 3g sign you can disconnect it and your stand by time then should vastly improve.
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970look on the "touch diamond vs samsung i900" article, choose one of them, coz they're the top two of ur list..
Anonymous, 05 Aug 2008how to download skype on diamondgo to skype.com/download and download the windows mobile version. i just downloaded it from there few days ago
HTC Diamond v1.93 ROM run very fast.
the common theme as a disadvantage for this phone seems to be the battery life. I have read some where that there is a new battery to rectify this.
I am currently in the market for a new phone (I used the Imate 9502 which i thought was woeful and went back to the Q9 which I like except for the size).
I am thinking HTC diamond or i900 or maybe iphone - all cool phones. I do like the iphone qwerty keyboard, so is the HTC keyboard as easy to use.
My main concern is the battery life... any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
sorry i still trying to get used to it..
it says storage memory low and to delete some items, how do i do that?
which is weird as i have hardly anything in my phone... all i have is a couple of songs, hardly any msgs and a few pictures ...any help?
Guys i'd like to know if GPS could (actually) state your current location (100% accuracy) and could (actually) send through sms (like Glofish Mobile).
This phone is slow & the touch screen is not sensitive & react slowly like an old man!!!
This phone feels lazy...
If you use wifi, no it wont chew on your data plan. The phone Is actually quite good i have played with one myself. If you be patient for 1 second longer, it runs quite smoothly
thnks for that!
i have to charge the battery once a day too!

its kinda tricky getting used to the phone.. but it sure is worth it!! :D
Nic, 04 Aug 2008Hey guys, My battery seems to waste pretty fast... although im pretty much only messaging..... moreI have the same problem, the battery drains a lot. I have had 2 of these because the first one needed to be charged 2-3 times a day. Now it needs one charge a day, but it does drain quite easily. If you check your Task Manager you may have other programs running that you don't know about. BTW I dont think you have to have the phone off whilst you charge, but if you do then it will charge quicker (I supose that is quite an obvious point)
I have a t-mobile MDA Compact 4, I can download e-mails, but then it deletes them afterwards and I cannot send messages as it keeps saying 'The message can not be sent, please check you have signal and your e-mail settings are correct'.
I realy like the phone, so I would recomend it but this is a big problem. Please, can somebody tell me if this is a server, network or phone problem? Thanks in advance.
