Have been using the HTC HD for over 3 weeks now and found it running very smoothly and hadn't hung yet. It's worth every penny and it looks great. The battery lasts for 2 day max and 1 day for heavy usage. The camera captures nice photos and I have no complain.

wi fi settings ..HTC Touch WIFI Connectivity

This article will briefly go through the the important steps of setting up your HTC Touch for WIFI connectivity.

There are two basic things to consider - connecting to an unsecured network and to a secured one. I hope you already know the access details (network key) for the network you're trying to connect to!

Go to Start > Settings > Connections > WIFI (the Wireless LAN icon will provide you with details on a selected WIFI network. Useful perhaps when the network is hidden)

In the list of networks select the desired one and click connect or tap on the network name (notice whether it says Available or Unavailable and aim for the former)
Leave Network name as is (actually you can't change it anyway I think) and leave Connects to to The Internet, click Next

On the next screen for most practical cases select for Authentication: SHARED (most folks leave it at OPEN and just waste time trying to figure out why the connection is not working)
Select WEP for Data Encryption (this is a very common setting)

Uncheck the The key is automatically provided checkbox (you'd need to enter it) and enter the network key (that you hopefully know) into the Network key box (note: this should usually be a 5-digit key)
Leave Key Index to 1 (these are the common settings I'm discussing. If they're different in your particular case its probably because you already know more or have someone that does so you should talking to your network admin if this is the case to get the exact details)
Leave the rest at what it is, click Next
Leave everything at default (Use IEEE 802.1x ... checkbox and EAP type)

        Click Finish happy days

Just got mine yesterday. The phone is OK. But in terms of media (sound quality or taking pictures/videos) is a BIG disappointment. I have a N95 and the sound is absolutely amazing. The pictures quality are outstanding (I think the lens Karl Zeiss is also playing an important role). In addition to that, all the videos taken with the N 95 play in the HTC frame by frame. I don't know the reason for that - it might be the software incompatibility. I am a sound freak and I've tried to download Winamp for Win Mobile but I still ger errors so I can't run the application. Maybe someone could direct me to another good quality player for win mobile, please..
                Many thanks in advance

Hi guys, is there any way i can have my phone recognise more than one phone number in my contact as mobile number so i can be able to send text msgs to more than one number for one contact. i have contacts who have more than one mobile number and do need to send msgs to at least two of their numbers because they move to different areas with different network. secondly, i bought my phone in dubai, is it safe for me to instal the arabic software? my fhone did not come with the arabic text. thanks anthony for the last assist.

First thing install your syncing program “active sync” or "Windows Mobile Device Center" depending on which windows operating system you have on your PC. You can get them both at http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/en-us/help/synchronize/device-synch.mspx and when your are putting #'s in the address book put the # like this +#(###)###-#### and not like this ###-#### so the caller ID will work right. Then sync your phone before you install any other thing. So if any thing goes wrong you can just factory reset with out losing your info. After that go in all the options of each program that came with the phone and change there auto save location to the memory card, not the phone memory. So your saved files will not be lost if you factory reset. when your done give me a shout and we'll go from there
