HTC Touch HD - I have heard that you can get third party software to fix the missing landscape virtual keyboard in WinMo Word and Excel. Does any-one run this 3rd party software on the HTC Touch HD? What is its name / website? Some say the 3rd party software doesn't work on the HTC Touch HD as it seems it is a port over from the old HTC Diamond which is different.
Does anyone use the Word Excel functionality? in landscape mode??
Pros: Has the potential to be the leader of the pack. Let down by the above oversight. HTC should urgently issue an official patch to fix it.
Cons: The above weakness prevents this HTC Touch HD rising to the TOP of the best. Sadly, the Samsung Omnia while not being quite as good is half the price and next best and therefore best bang for buck!

Tucks, 05 Feb 2009Yeah i done that a while ago. Still same probok well that was the only problem i was having with the wifi my HD and i use it to voice chat on skyp. maybe you are too far from the wifi point? the phone does not seem to pick up signal strength as good as a laptop.

you can use "HD Tweak" to tell the wifi not to turn off if the phone goes in to sleep mode.

Orange are the best network anyway,minus the no unlimited data package though. 02 are a shrude business, with bad management, tremendously bad communication between different dept's, bad customer service, expensive prices.
Whereas I find Orange alot more committed to helping out the customer and take things alot more light heartedly, with slick service.

HTC phones, especially diamond, have a tendency to wear quickly, so its a valid question about the wear and tear, something I was going to ask myself actually. I'm deciding between this one and a Samsung Innov8, i was a diehard SE fan but they can't release a phone larger than a 3" screen AND have a good cam AND have cool features. Nuff said.
