this is a great product, but what about tvout port, whats up guys.... howi connectthis to my car????? video?????????
I read someware that Touch HD has no TV out. I think that this is a great '-' for HTC. The same with missing flash. But the main disadvantage is Windows Mobile. On the other hand the big widescreen with nice resolution is the great plus which sells this baby.

Paul Hearn, 14 Dec 2008I purchased the HTC Touch HD from Carphone Warehouse on Saturday 13 December 2008. I paid £44... moreI Dont feel also comfortable with touch flo even its fantastic but used to for using some specific software from "SPB" & "Resco". Some of them are still not fully compatible with Touch HD but they ease up the systems. Also google maps with gps navigation are running fantastic its a free software.
Paul Hearn, 14 Dec 2008I purchased the HTC Touch HD from Carphone Warehouse on Saturday 13 December 2008.
I paid £44... moreHi Paul,
thank you for offering your time.
I would like to know how user-friendly the touch-screen is.
Most importantly with regards to writing sms/text's. You say that you were having trouble activating the T9, got it working yet? If so, is it as quick and easy to write an sms as on a normal number key-pad?
My one other concern with the touch screen is that they have a tendency to mistakenly select options and dial numbers while in your pocket or brushing against objects. Therefore, does the HD have a secure phone lock so that it doesn't make these kinds of mistakes?
I purchased the HTC Touch HD from Carphone Warehouse on Saturday 13 December 2008.
I paid £440.36 for a sim free handset, but had to purchase a £10 pay as you go sim card from O2 - I'm not quite sure of the reasoning but if I hadn't purchased the pay as you go sim card, the handset would have cost me £489.
I had the Tytn model a number of years ago and missed not having access to my emails on the go so I decided to go for the HTC Touch HD. Unfortunately I am still getting to grips with the phone as I am not used to the touchflow input system, however I can still quickly navigate my way about the phone using the stylus and the Windows Mobile menus. I don't like the way the emails and text messages are displayed in the touchflo menu system, I prefer to see all my emails in a list as per windows instead of having to flick my thumb through several emails/messages until I get to the one I was searching for.
On a negative (Until I learn to use the handset correctly), is the display of the internet and emails. I'm not sure how to view the internet in landscape mode - I did get it to display in landscape mode once by accident but since then have been unable to repeat this feat.
Also I am unable to select the T9 mode when typing text messages, only the keyboard is available and it does display a button ABC-T9 but no matter how many times I click on it, it remains on the keyboard input mode.
The call quality is far superior than my old Tytn model.
The keyboard can still be operated by my thumb (I must add that I don't have overly large hands though).
The internet pages are able to be zoomed in or out quite successfully.
I don't seem to be experiencing a lag in the touchflo menu system as per expert reviewers - this could be due to the fact I have very little data stored on the handset at the moment.
If anyone has any questions about this handset feel free to ask.

Even high resolution screen buy some images like digital painting can not be display as nice as 16M. Nokia 5800 also has high resolution with 16M color, so it can view perfectly nice pictures. I wonder as the same to you on how WinMo still support 65k? Why not 262k or 16M?

Touch HD Guy, 13 Dec 2008I got this phone today and am very impressed byt HTC. I think the HTC touch flow is amazing & ... moreDear all HTC HD users:
If your phone is sometimes slow, please download the repair kit from HTC site
Everything on this HTC is great except the color is still poor. Does every body think 65k is clear. Now the highest color is up to 16M.
i think its clear enough the only difference is though between say the resolution on this phone and say a 16million on a nokia is that the HD screen quality and comments made to make the screen are superior
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Dear Bro,
I Am Also A Samsung Fan. The Time there was only Omnia it was my option but as soon as HTC Touch HD Black Stone Released I Changed my Mind due to big screen and stylus. Samsung Camera Result never embarased my. In Omnia there is Image stabilization and flash. If you are relying on pocket camera too much you can prefer HTC.
Touch HD is also fantastic. I feel that my decision was right. Camera result is good but dosent accept shake photos at all. Also result always comes little bit dim after the photos. Day Shots are perfect. Touch FLO Software is Fantastic. Major thing in Black Stone is Wide Screen 480 X 800. You can go for Touch HD It will not let you down.
