iPhone beater? No. However, this is one of the best HTC devices I have seen, ever. The screen performs brilliantly with the HTC TouchFLO interface and the HTC on-screen keyboards for their job admirably. The Windows Mobile bits do tend to hold the device back, and it's a shame that you're soon looking for your stylus or you're cursing the fact that the screen won't rotate automatically in applications like Microsoft Word or Excel. To have to add extra software in is a step that shouldn't be necessary. It feels a little disjointed when the Microsoft standard apps come out to play - check out the calculator.. Bleugh.
The HTC Touch HD though is a wonderful iPhone alternative. It'll play your MP3 collections easily and you can watch videos with YouTube easily. After installing video-playing software you can even watch your favourite TV shows from the microSD card too. The internet browser and other applications really work well with the larger screen and the included microSD card is a fantastic benefit. The specs are brilliant too - GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth and ultra-fast browsing over the cellular network. The battery life is also really, really good. The build quality is fantastic and the device feels solid even with it's thin profile and overall I'd definitely recommend this handset to both consumers and business professionals alike.

If you just need it to listen to music, talk on the phone,send email... morei dont know if u are aware matey. but the comments are on the htc hd? y are u talkin about your iphone. its geeks like you that bring discussions from the iphone reviews over to a completely diffrent phone. go read a book

of course it's a very nice cell phone but it has some problems too!
like the lack of flash light for the 5MP camera!
not enough internal memory and the touch screen is not as good as IPHONE 3G!
and at last,the price is high!
but in comparison to i900 omnia,the touch screen is much better and the pen is not hanging!!!

Cool Phone, 09 Dec 2008This is a nice phone. Wonder if navigation is as smooth as iphone. if yes, Im getting this. :)It's good but not as good or smooth as the Iphone's touch screen.

I have had the phone for a couple of weeks now.
No issues with mine other than the power button to wake up the device is very hard to press.
Would love the unit to have a metal casing like the X1.

But I'm sorry to say that being rich is not meant being educated.
It is not true that we are born smarter than asian and vise versa, It is how we grew up and cope with life and our surroundings.
Try visit some places, like dubai, hong kong, main china, eupore etc., and you will learn in this places. "Best education does not always comes in university but also in our experiances".
And to those who make some racist comment, can we go to the subject "HTC touch HD"

Does anyone make a comparison between Xperia, Touch HD, Iphone and i900 Omnia?
which one of the above is the best? i.e navigate, web-browsing, audio-video clarity, file-sharing, then price.
I'm planning to buy at least 2, I dont what to be disappointed later on.
