gdnz, 01 Oct 2009Hello Anthony. In answer to your question about an eye next to bluetooth icon. I assume you me... moreOk the eye next to the Bluetooth icon means your phone is now visible to all Bluetooth devices for peering. If you are doing the peering from the car and not the phone then that eye must be on for the car to see the phone. To turn it on you must go into your Bluetooth settings pick the mode tab and you would see two check boxes.
          1.Turn on Bluetooth
2.Make this device visible to other devices
The second one should let your car see the phone. Once it is peered you can turn the 2rd one off.
Try it and let me know if it worked or not
Note 1:- remember with the second one on you should see an eye next to the Bluetooth icon on the phone.
Note 2:- visibility mode only needs to be on when the peering is being done from the other device. If the peering is being done from the phone it can stay off.

Anthony, 30 Sep 2009so the bluetooth icon on the phone has an eye next to it?Hello Anthony. In answer to your question about an eye next to bluetooth icon. I assume you mean on top title bar and the answer is "no"
I did a google search yesterday and came across a VW forum in Australia, in particular a thread about bluetooth connection issues. One guy has a Touch HD that connects with his Vdub no problem. In my case it's either the car or fone. The VW service people connected their fones (nokia's) to the car but not my HTC. Thanks for your interest in helping so far. Cheers

Now i hear there is a win 6.5.1, has anyone heard about this?.. Build 23060 is way better than earlier builds..
Dutty's Rom is still based on 23016..

Here are some change logs through Win 6.5 releases:

              23045:

              - Text-based buttons on the bottom bar are now replaced by icon-based buttons which makes the experience look good, and more finger friendly than ever before. (see the screenshot for the comparison between Build 23045 and Build 23409)
              - Almost all issues with fonts and pictures in Titanium have been fixed.
              - Improved memory management.
              - Faster and more responsive.
              - Numerous other bug fixes.

              23047:

which added refinements to the bottom bar in the form of converting all text to icons and making the buttons more smoothly rounded.

              23049:

we see that the buttons are now taking on shapes with harder edges.

              23053:

              - The magnified status (or notifications) bar gets new icons and it works from all places of the menu, unlike before when it was only accessible from the homescreen.
              - New dropdown arrows on listboxes.
              - Checkboxes fixed.
              - Better integration with Manila 2.6 (HTC TouchFlo3D) from the upcoming HTC Leo (aka HD2).
              - Improved battery life.
              - Numerous other bug fixes.

              23060:

              - Email folder in Microsoft Office Outlook Mobile gets new colored icons.
              - Improved browsing experience on Internet Explorer Mobile.
              - Definitely more faster and responsive than the last leaked Build 23053.
              - Faster boot time.
              - Build 23420 has the new contacts app.
              - Build 23060 has the menu eye candy but not the new contacts app.
              - Incorporates the updated GUI from the later COM3 builds into COM4.
              - Better memory management.

I think i'll wait for a better version of manila 2.5 cause honestly if i give you my phone for a day, you'll be impressed with all the apps installed you'll see that the phone is astonishingly fast and stable!..
Sms is amazing!! Resco contact manager SMS responds immediately to touchflo's sms when you wanna send from there..
                  That's how R14 is..
I can say this is officially the fastest phone now with Dutty's R14 and the recommended 3rd party apps!

I already know about 300% benchmark, but my question was how different is the R4 compared to R5 in graphics..

I must say i disagree with Energy/Miri's Roms.. You are only right that Manila 2.5 is better in Energy/Miri than Dutty, but the Rom isn't better at all.. Dutty's R14 Manila 2.1 is flawless, speaking Manila wise and really impressing with its speed..

                              Cheers.. :)

I can't set up an e-mail on my HTC HD.
Whenever I enter the e-mail address and the password it checks connection and comes back saying that it could not be found. Strange because it works no problem on an Iphone and Nokia N97.

                                    Any suggestions?
