If I close the active sync, after sometime it is opened again. Can I close it for ever without deleting my account?
Do you enable the auto bright adjustment or turn it off?

Thanks.

Sus,

I like the touch pro, the S type has a smaller screen. You have the function of smart dialing where you press the answer key and then write the first letter of the person and the name will be shown for calling. Be careful, the iphone is slimmer than the pro, and less heavier. The pro is thick and heavy because of the keyboard. I did some research and found that most the keyboard devices are thick like that, even the new xperia is only 1mm thinner than the pro.

Also the user interface and the touch screen is easier in the iphone than the pro, but you will get used to the pro quickly.

Still people prefer the iphone over the pro because of the screen is 3.5" instead of 2.8", but the keyboard will save you the screen space while typing.

Pro is more likely to be prone to a business device with multimedia capability, it is practical and functional for that purpose.

Hope this help.

Sin,

I have the touch pro for 12 days now, it is a good phone, however the battery life is not good at all. Today I was listening to audio stored in the microsd for 20 min and I paused the audio after that. After 4 hours the battery drops to 60% without using the phone at all after pausing the file.
Do you think that pausing a file is a problem? What can I do else to remove the audio file or stop it in th music tab. The only running program is active sync and the sync is set to manual.

The only cons is the battery life. I will check again after changing the back light to be dimmed when the phone is locked. This is may be one of the reasons.

Appreciate your reply.

WELL .. i have this phone for over 2 weeks now...

PRO:
- best screen i ever saw, its incredible, exposed to direct sunlight the screen is perfect readable/usable what ever u call it only if u set the screen brightness to MAX
- WiFi is perfect
- Browsing with OPERA is great (built in IE is awful)
- SMS writing is excellent
- Camera is more than enough and if u tweak it a little bit is more more than enough (im not a guy that takes pictures with a phone and especially at night)
- Video Camera, i just like it, for me, again, its enough, of course u cant compare it with a N95 camera but i like ti
- The Weather is great
- Music player is great and combined with the built equalizer is even better
- Reception is good
- 3G is great
- GPS is average
- fast phone, no lags
- watching videos is super... if u want to watch videos with the built in Windows Media player, u have to encode movies at 320x240, 400kbs video and 128kbs audio in MP4 format, if u want to watch AVI, u need COREPLAYER and still have to encode movies, cause if u watch a 700MB video at a res greater than the phones u will notice dropped frames and lags, i encode videos at 320x240 or more, 600kbs video 128kbs audio avi DIVX and its great
- the touch is sensitive and accurate
- youtube app works great

CONS:
- The battery ... i dont know why i put it in the cons section.. but ... lets see... if u use the phone intensly the battery lasts from 8am til next day at 10am i sure wanted to last more, but i think its enough
- no 3.5mm

no more cons .. i simply like this phone

buy it if u want, u will not be dissapointed.

Question. How long would the device last with a single charge of the battery? Under the circumstance where your Wifi is not turned on, but your using the 3G system to access push mail and signed-in on Msn messenger.

Sus,

The HTC has the ability to store the numbers with the country code and show the caller id even if you receive a local call without the country code.

I only did a hard reset to the set to return it to the original setting as it seems there was a problem when I sync with the outlook contacts. I sync again and the problem is gone now.

I know that this problem is existing in the iphone, and not solved yet. I was about to get the iphone before the HTC but the facts say that iphone is not up to the expectation regarding the functionality, it is only good at user interface.

Best of luck.
