Anonymous, 17 Nov 2010Hi! Is HTC Touch Pro 2 compatible/ recommended for a person who sends text messages most of t... moreMy wife and I have had two HTC TP2 phones for 11 months. They came with Windows Mobile 6.5. The screen is sharp and visible even in sunlight. No problems with durability, slider is smooth and glides well with no play, even after dropping both several times. Keyboard is the best we have seen. The touch screen sometimes gets a momentary mind of its own, but a power off/on always brings it back to reality.
well, i am from guyana.i will be getting the touch pro 2 very soon.cant wait to check out the features highlighted in the specs.feedback will sure be given afterward.
Anonymous, 20 Nov 2010what is the default os of this mobile??? win 6.1 or 6.5???WM 6.1
as i promised this is my feedback on the phone after a couple of days usage, and i can sum it up in these points:
1. the hardware is beautiful and the phone looks and feels really good
2. it feels solid in hand not like a cheap plastic gadget
3. touch screen and the keyboard are excellent and properly sensitive
4. the sound from the speaker and the ear piece is excellent
problems (which i belive are limitations of Winmo and Mobile phones not the TP2 specifically)
1. after heavy usage for about 30 minutes or more the phone gets a bit warm (but don't worry it's within spec)
2. battery life didn't meet my expectation ( it hust gets through the day)
3. a couple of crashes forced me to do a hrd reset ( but i believe the reason might be me installing too many apps at once, so take it easy )
my advice is backup whenever possible, and i would highly recommend the sprite back up tool
i know that there are cheaper devices with similar or better specs, but i got the TP2 because the form and specs meet what i want exactly
but thanks for the advice bro
Hi guys, i have unlocked htc touch pro2 in India. I want to upgrade it to win 6.5 from win 6.1. Please tell me how to do it.
I have had 2 of these phones over the last year - I don't know if it's WM, the hardware, but it's been a nightmare of an experience! It freezes a lot! I have to reboot the phone every couple of days, if not more! I will be moving onto a Blackberry soon!
Is HTC Touch Pro 2 compatible/ recommended for a person who sends text messages most of the time rather than making calls? Not a texter addict type. Just afraid that the slider might get broken. Is the slider durable? college student, not busy person. Thanks!
Hisham, 06 Nov 2010i'll give you my feedback by the end of next week, i'll get it for about $600, where are you l... moreCK it out.... Ebay.co.uk ...
By the by.... There are a number of WInMo phones that are available..... NEW for less!! Same or equal specs.
I am interested in bying this phone and i would like to ask 2 questions:
1) Does it really have a stand alone gps? does it work with a-gps off?
2) Is the video recording quality good? vga@30fps?
