Can anyone pls tel me how comfortable is texting without the stylus on this phone???
i think it is no deffirance betweent touch viva and p3400 just wi-fi rom and ram win 6.1 that is all this mean may htc repeat itself but with new look . like old singer disappeared then come again with new song with new look ..........
Those who feel that 201 MHz is low; just look at the pricing. Besides that, HTC has its optimisations on works and as I have used this phone; its simply great. I just dont know how it could work so well on 201 MHz. Though 128 MB RAM is a relief on such a phone.
Of course, if you wanna use it for playing HD videos, then I cannot help.
besides being bulkier what is the difference between this and the HTC touch. are you just getting greedier and trying to rip people off.
was wondering if the txting on this machine is similar to the older machines or do we need the stylus?
thanks for the reply, that's good news!
The price is good but the phone is not Friendly at all and is not easy to throgh... Why HTC ?!!!!!
The whole back panel is supposed to be removed in order to put SIM and battey in it, just like in every other phone
podge, 24 Oct 2008sorry - meant to say "cannot" see a seperate battery cover..... The entire back panel is removable, I forgot to mention that the Mini SD slot is under the battery, which is annoying since I do like to hot swap my sd cards every now and then.
how do you replace the battery? cannot see a seperate battery cover in the pic's. Or does this phone have a non-user replaceable battery like the iphone?
it is HTC Touch with new look seems they still have a lot of HTC and they replace the housng and upgradethe OS
It is a great pocket pc. I m quite satisfied with its performance and beauty. WM6.1 makes its performance too smooth.
TouchFlo is also ideal to handle so many tasks.
it is so cool and looking smart...........

So far I love this phone. I am able to take care of all my e-mail, surf the web, and handle a few programs
that I use for reference (I work in a pharmacy). I do love the small design but I'm not too keen with the raised bezel. I try to use the phone without the stylus but when I need to use the scroll bar, that's when I have to take it out. The keypad is adequate for the size of the screen but although I have normal sized fingers, I do hit the wrong key every now and then. Speaking of, the screen size I say is really not for everyone. I don't suggest reading a long word document for long unless you want to strain your eyes.
The call quality is great and the wi-fi is pretty quick. I do not have EDGE or 3G so I can't really tell you the quality of those services. I do have some of my music on the Viva and the quality is pretty good. The camera I would say is adequate. I've seen better on other phones. The Touch Flo works wel with this phone and is responsive. The UI can be worked with so you won't have to use the start menu all the time. This I really liked. Texting I simple and actually saves it as conversations so you can keep track with what you and your "textee" talked about.
I will say that this is a great phone for regular use. An all in one device to entertain you while standing in line at the bank or maybe for college students too. I would not recommend it for business use though. It is in fact an entry level Pocket PC. But for the price I believe it's worth having.
