You have to buy the map, and from what I understand it is just a one time purchase of around $10-$20 USD.
hello there, does this on come with tomtom map or you have to buy for one?

It does, in fact, have TouchFLO. And unlike preliminary specs said, it actually has the full version of TouchFLO, not just a watered down version. Coupled with the full jog wheel it has this makes this phone incredibly capable of one hand usage.
From the GPS chipset to the cpu, from the os to the input method their is nothing that can match this beast.A true pda not to be confused with inferior handsets like the e90 or n95.
I am informed that this is now available at GITEX 2007 AED3250
This is just an awesome Product from HTC... with 3MP, GPS, Wifi, BT, TouchFLO, WM6, Sliding KB (Spring Concept), Huge Battery Time (Li-Po Battery),(30 days StandBy Time huuuuu...), This is Just a Dad of Tytn...
hhmm.. no TouchFlow... :-(
I just got this phone, phone is great except it feels like I am carrying a brick in my pocket. Up on ebay it goes
The price is about $800 USD and around 460 GBP.
guys, I have a question about the gps on this phone. Do you have to buy like a map for England or Norway or any other country. And does it cost money to use it? :s
www.superiorgadgets.com/ca/ has the HTC Tytn II in stock and more on the way by Monday. Take advantage they are great people to do business with and a good price $859.99 Canadian
I have to say I disagree about the TyTn II "dying". I have contacted several online retailers, both USA and UK, and they all ordered from 50-100 unit. Every one of them is on back order. I think this will be one of the biggest mobiles from years to come just like the TyTn before it.
@bigsam: GITEX is here, but not the TyTNII, so I went window shopping. Found the TyTN and even a S710 (that surprised me) at the HTC "dealer" Jumbo Elec...but the sales people didn't even know about the II and none of their sales literature had any mention of it in them. *sigh* I think this phone is going the way of the Motorola Z8...released to just a few markets and then dies.
Make this as 5 megapixel and this is the best phone. Thanks.
The XDA range is made by HTC. I don't know what your talking about Rick but this model will also be released as the O2 XDA Stellar quite soon.
is where any (normal size) phone annonced with 640*480 or higher, gps, ir, blue2, wifi , tv out, fm
and Multi-touch screen on MS system (and camera 3mp+)
i really like TytN II but don't want to waste 800$ if same functions phone with higher res screen coming soon..
also IR to control home theater, shit i want this....
Why in the world are these people still releasing these phones without 3G/HSDPA? Makes no sense. No wonder Nokia is outselling them.
i think the hp ipaq 600 is going to beat this device if the price is lower or somewat equal
I have got a good questions for you guys business user to PDA:
1. Does Windows Mobile support the coloring of Calendar Items used in Microsoft Outlook? Such as, Green for Personal and Blue for Business.
