Hi. Im from philippines. My u11 still has no update of oreo. I keep on tapping the software update but still has no update. Do you have any idea if it is available in the philippines? Thanks

acemang, 05 Dec 2017still no oreo here in Portugal (bought from official online store from england)It has nothing to do with where you are now.
If you got one for the UK region. You have to wait till that region gets the OTA update for you to get it as well, no matter where in the world you happen to be.
still no oreo here in Portugal (bought from official online store from england)
Happy to upgrade to Oreo. So far so good mine is oooohh soooo blazing fast. #philippines
Hardcor, 04 Dec 2017Not negative! The idea is that if you have a firmware site that reveals countries of software ... moreSorry, as far as I know. There is no one site for rom versions for all phones. and as you get older you will realize most things worth having/knowing is not going to be easy to find.
it would be like 6 x Y= 3
But HTC does host the most up to date ROM for each Region on that region website for download.
But again you going to need the help of google search to find the link.
The easier thing to do if you are running the stock ROM and not rooted is to check “Update over Wi-Fi only” & check “Auto download system updates automatically”
And now you know the Region of your phone you can just look out in tech news for when that region is updating.
Anth0ny, 04 Dec 2017why are you always so negative?
your ROM number is for the India SEA version.
there is no... moreNot negative! The idea is that if you have a firmware site that reveals countries of software numbers then much better than a random google search that already had done and also reached to that site link you posted but that's not easy to find, this is why I prefer direct links, clear things like 1+1=2, not 1+2-1=2 ! Understood?!
Is there any official site that announce software releases or must always google...or check for updates on my phone..
Hardcor, 04 Dec 2017Googling a random number will not give you any sure info! Wikipedia will not popout in front o... morewhy are you always so negative?
your ROM number is for the India SEA version.
there is nothing random about the numbers I asked for. not because you don't know what they mean, means they are random. and I told you to do a google search, not a Wikipedia search as the google search would check multiple sources. do you always limit yourself with everything you do?
I gave the advice as I was talking from personal experience, you may not know this but there was a time you had to look and manually download your ROMs, connect to a PC and use sync software to update your phone. there was not always an option for OTA updates. and the numbering system has not changed from back in those days.
so when the HTC U11 phones in India start getting oreo OTA, you should get it too.
Hardcor, 04 Dec 2017Or India version.Yes software built you mentioned is of Indian Version. I have the same one. But Just Check whether "CW is - India_Hungama/****" that will be under Build number
Anth0ny, 03 Dec 2017you don't have to go to any special site. just the google search page. and put in your #.
1.2... moreGoogling a random number will not give you any sure info! Wikipedia will not popout in front of you to reveal bio..!
Anyways, software number: 1.27.400.21
Maybe Hongkong version.
Hardcor, 02 Dec 2017Software number shows nothing except numbers that indicate nothing. Google it where..what site... moreyou don't have to go to any special site. just the google search page. and put in your #.
1.28.617.30 is the old HTC U11 # that is being updated to 2.31.617.2 which has Oreo.
if your post your current software number I would look it up for you if you don't know how to do a google search. your software # is not unique to your phone like your S/N so you don't have to be afraid to post it. but it does have the "intended market for sale" a.k.a (to be sold in reagion) encoded in it.
Anth0ny, 02 Dec 2017That is not how you know what Region phone you have.
Your software number a.k.a. RUU version,... moreSoftware number shows nothing except numbers that indicate nothing. Google it where..what site..
It says must have 1.28.617.30 after October 2017 Android Security Updates
Already have October security... but still number is less than 1.28....actually 1.27...
No new updates.
Phone imported to Europe but isn't it about origin country of phone..made in or coming from..
crazyboys_tp, 02 Dec 2017All the HTC devices are made in Taiwan bro, but the updates depends on the Country the device... moreIt can also be made in China. How to know import country origin. Couldn't figure anything from numbers..letters except that surely made in taiwan from also S/N:FA..symbols to Taiwan
