I've had both Samsung and HTC phones. The Samsungs usually have a better display, but become buggy and irritating before they reach a year's use, while the HTC's have better sound and never crash/freeze. The Samsung's I've had usually get replaced after a year, while I get two to three years out of HTC's. So... I'm probably going to get this HTC to replace the m9 I'm currently still using, once all the colours are available. I might wait till next year's release, because my m9 is ticking over perfectly.
I bought the htc u11 128g , and like always the HTC phones it realiable and awesome.
I found a coupon to bring the HTC U11 down in price, then looked around on the HTC website to see if it came with their Uh-Oh coverage for the first year of ownership. Didn't find it so I live chatted with HTC and found out that this phone currently does NOT come with Uh-Oh coverage. Only some models of HTC do. That is a deal breaker for me.
ABC, 06 Jun 2017Ofcourse....u11 has beaten alredy the s8 at geekbench....its on youtubei own a htc u11 and it's the best phone i have ever had i have always liked the speakers on the front htc when they change it i tried a samsung oh yes and what a mistake that was. they crashed all the time then stopped working i had the note s7 and others what a waste of time they were so unreliable. when i saw the htc u11 they won me back i should have stuck with htc they have always been reliable and very good build qualiity and they are still the best phones you can get

Anonymous, 06 Jun 2017s8 screen quality will never be beaten Well! Thats the only thing S8 has. Others U11 has gotten, overall U11 beats it :)
Hlw, i need a phone samsung, Htc or Huawei That have to be compulsory super amoled plus display, and 4k video resulation...if u have any idea plz comnt below,
4 years back I went to a shop to get 'A' latest and greatest phone.
I was handed the plastic-polymer (w/e you wanna call it) S4 and Metal uni-body HTC M7.
Guess what I bought? HTC. (Samsung never won me after that)
To this day it is my daily companion. Still prevails more than 12 hours of above average usage.
Sound quality was unrivaled at that time both headphones and boom sound.
The device crashed on me only 4 times for the entire four years I owned it.
My friends who bought the Samsung could not say the same.
I was patiently waiting for a good flagship from HTC. U11 seems like it.
Yes, the Samsung looks more futuristic, I agree. I do like the edge.
The fact most people does not realize is that it does not matter how great the specs of your phone is, what matters is that if it does what you want efficiently and elegantly.
My personal preference is in listening to music when I travel (in the best quality possible). HTC delivers more than I expect. I love the simple OS design with minimal deviation from stock android.
I'm not buying in to the megapixel game. Or specs.
I own the 2013 flagship phone. Does it lag, yes some times when I am using G-Maps and that's it. It has no problem in keeping up with my daily requirements.
+ how many times did I drop my phone in the toilet or the pool in the past four years... NONE.
Did I drop it on the floor? yes, many times on gravel, tarmac, tile, etc. Still in one piece.
Again, my Samsung owning friends could not say the same.
I am listening to reviews of my friends who has S8's already. What I hear is that sound quality is not quite good out of the box. Not sure if it is the player or the DAC. (We are quite particular about what we hear through our head phones. we use 7605s, m40xs and m50xs. So our expectations are quite high).
So, my obvious pick will be the U11 itself over the S8.
I just Love this phone so much... O God Samsung fanboys are so jealous now.. SO much hate comments seen here... Believe it or not but U11 has beaten S8 already... Love to see that Fire :)
A new low for a manufacturer...
Dodge_Viper, 05 Jun 2017Some of you guys here complaining about U11 probably don't even own one(or will ever own one i... moreVery true. Samsung fans post very annoying comments in any other phone's pages. Sony's pages filled by their crap comments too.
Anonymous, 05 Jun 2017Removing 3.5mm jack will certainly boost HTC u11 selling. What a stupid mentality...N thats what makes the phone better. :)

Some of you guys here complaining about U11 probably don't even own one(or will ever own one in some cases :P). Point is if your a Samsung fan then you're on the wrong page, looking at the wrong phone. Thank you for taking the time out to watch a beautiful device though. Guess y'all got tired of look at Samsung's. :B ;)
