Sachin C, 20 Jun 2017Hello all, i am using HTC U11 now for a week. Its a 6 gb RAM/ 128 gb internal version. Its a g... moreI'm going to make the assumption you got the China model but the Global positioning satellite, the phone can see form where you live are not the same satellite it would see if you where in China. So the assistedGPS info is totally wrong for your location. So It would take forever for a GPS lock or never get one. Go to the play store and download (GPS updater) and use it to get the AGPS data for your region. You should get a lock after that.
Note: you may have to use the app to get the AGPS info every time before you use GPS if your phone can't save the new AGPS data.
If that don't work and you have "high accuracy" ON in location settings, then something is wrong with the phone hardware and you have to get it changed.
Hello all, i am using HTC U11 now for a week. Its a 6 gb RAM/ 128 gb internal version. Its a great phone except for its GPS. Maps on my phone is not working at all. I tried calibrating phone with all the 8 sing movement and the 3 axis thing but nothing is working. Any suggestion? I got out in
Where you can order 128gb version? Or if you are from EU,no choice but to take the lack of internal storage?
harwey, 18 Jun 2017It really seems that HTC is properly back with the new U11..finally I'd say.But 800$ price,com... more$800? - You are quoting the price of the 6Gb/128Gb version with dual SIM. The 4Gb/64Gb version is selling under $600.
Finally! the Solar Red is here.. Such a stunning device :) ... Thank you HTC

Today my Xperia Z2 drop again on asphalt road, the phone still fine and I don't put any case on it. The quality is simply amazing, but it frame get some scratches, that's why a good case to fit the phone is very important too.

Of the top of my head I have had the following,m7,m8,m9,htc10 and now u11 and I have also had the LG g3,g4,g5,v10 and I also had a oneplus two at one time and the phones I have just said there are others to in the past.

I try to get 2 - 3 years out of a phone before I upgrade. So I tend to buy at near release date to get the full 18 months experience of updating. And in the year after the updates stop I start looking for a new phone.
I know there will be people reading the opinions on here regarding this phone and they will be deciding whether to part with there hard saved money if you is buying it sim free like I did and after 7 days of using this phone as my daily driver and I am a heavy user also I must say I do recommend it and to be honest the only thing I could say is kinda wrong with it is that the phone is unbelievably slippery if not in a case but otherwise the u11 shines in every area of what a smartphone should be able to do.
I can honestly say it blows the htc10 out of the water and its easily a match for my G5 which I personally thought is better than the htc10 but the u11 is definitely one of the best phones this year.
I would say if I thought it was rubbish but honestly this phone is one of the best HTC has made in years and I think I will use this for a year before I get something else and I do usually get a new phone maybe every 6 months or so.
Received this phone 2 days ago.. Amazing device! Build quality is beautiful, solid. Camera is good enough for me, vivid and sharp photo is guarantee. I'm satisfied.. I'm not a HTC, Sony, Apple, Huawei or Samsung fan, but a ordinary person who love technology and always try the new things. Buy whatever u like, and enjoyed it!

I can CONFIRM that HTC DID certify VoLTE with T-Mobile on the unlocked U11, so if you have the unlocked U11 and are using T-Mobile, then just like with the unlocked 10, you WILL be able to use VoLTE (and Wi-Fi Calling)!!
See here for proof:

Have you dropped your U11 out of a case as yet? I would like to know your experience with that.
I made my comment because of your comment about HTC drop test, not your experience of the fall you had.
And some people seem to think gorilla glass scratch resistants also makes is shatter resistant(like its some new glass with the properties of steel). So I'm not attacking this phone (I know what I said is a general statement about all glass back phones) I'm just telling people what could happen if your not careful, seeing that I can't find a single drop test video for the U11 or U Ultra on YouTube. But if you have a link to that too, please post it.
