Got my htc 10 replaced with u 11
Better audio, better camera ,more battery life, stunning display & faster device.
U need a bumper case to protect this gorgeous device
Edge sense, i use it for launching camera and taking screen shots
Its a pleasure to use this new device and i really liked it
Been using my htc u11 all day today as my daily driver and I will say that it's a very good smartphone and I seriously would say it's rubbish if it was but honestly it's a definite step up from my htc10 in most areas.
Sound quality is excellent for watching vids on YouTube and listening to music and call quality is ok as well to be fair.
The phone absolutely flies and never slows down no matter what I throw at it,it handles operations with ease and I can't see how it would slow down in the future and battery life is really really good I haven't struggled to get threw today like I would with my htc10 and I did top up my u11 this afternoon but it didn't really need it.
The only thing thats a major concern is that the phone feels horribly fragile even in a case,it feels like if I dropped it the phone would just shatter whereas my htc10 felt like a tank and it did survive multiple drops but I think this u11 wouldn't survive one drop especially if it hit face down.
I have been ultra careful with it which I haven't had to do with the previous htc phones I have had and I have had alot, htc m7,m8,m9,10 and now the u11
Love my U11! I use the "gimmick" edge sense daily, launching the camera or holding it to turn on/off the flashlight. The big plus for me is that it freed up the power button (press twice) to launch the camera using the snapchat app. Definitely a huge step up from my One M9. The other thing I found was swiping up with three fingers launches the HTC Connect, although I haven't used that yet..
Anyone know any other short cuts? Edge Sense working well for everyone else?
AnonD-676533, 12 Jun 2017How sad. Yeah got another u11 and this one works ok and I admit it's certainly a step up from my htc10 but I admit the phone is super super slippery and if you don't have a case on it you will almost certainly drop it for sure.
Battery life is awesome on this phone though and it easily matches my g5 which for me has great battery life.

Royal look with high performance love htc.but i am missing the dots where are speakers as htc M series.
This is truly THE GRAND RETURN OF THE FATHER OF ANDROID!
Behold! The HTC U11 has conquered the realm of the smartphone market. Not in sales but performance!
You Samsung Fanboys need to accept the truth that HTC has taken the back the Throne of Android from the Samsung pestilence.
Htc ...u have hit the bulls eye this time... Now just market it.....as gsmarena said....in their review... Just put stalls in cities and showcase this gem to peoples....let them hear the music with it...demo it guys...
U ve already nailed it in every front be it hw or sw....
Now just show the peoples ur hard work... Show them that u r ahead of samsung this time( light years ahead as they said in music review)....
and let the people appreciate u...praise u...
I have HTC U ultra which I bought for around $800, later the price drop in two months to $500. Really disappointing with their unstable pricing. I will not go for this U11, I don't want my heart to cry again by seeing the price drop in one month.
U11 is a beautiful handset with mostly top recognised features. It will come down to timing, asking price and brand loyalty for a successful release.
AnonD-366467, 17 May 2017HTC u 11:-
* Best rater camera.....far better than any other flagship.
* Best antutu bench... moreMoto Z2 hasn't been released yet.
China said it'll be the first device to use Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 with a better AL experience.
I think the htc u11 is definitely a good choice if you aren't a Samsung fan and you don't want to be ripped off by lg with the g6 version thats missing the DAC and higher memory and I think the htc u11 will be my next phone to replace my g5 and my spare htc10 as my daily driver.
I think htc could do really well this year with this phone and lg shot themselves in the foot by selling a inferior version of the g6 in the uk etc.
