Ooh HTC you won't get back into the game like this.
IPS display (not even high refresh rate)
No headphone jack
No IR blaster. With a price tag of 700$?

I bought the phone about a month ago. Whoever thinks 700.00 is to much for this phone is dead wrong. I love HTC, but I was using the U12+ and I almost went to Samsung after that. So, I know this phone will never be released in the USA so I just had to do it. So far I am loving this phone. The camera is great, the sound is amazing, the battery life is outstanding. This phone has a matte finish on the back, so you can grip it. I wont go as far as to say that its perfect, but thank god HTC is still around.
Frimpr, 13 Oct 2020Where did U see such high price?! Fake news...This is real news. I bough this model and I payed 480 €.
As soon as I received it I changed the language and this can be done through the MoreLocale application.
Morchex, 30 Oct 2020does this phone support Fm radio??Yes, I read that it does!
Until no information on Dual-SIM and camera update yet. but HTC released Desire 20+ better than U20 5G. What a waste on U20 5G. Thinking U20 5G is the most lousy phone.
Why not ever so slightly increase their profit margins per phone, apart from maybe their very low end side, and then have more standout features like a smaller size with this phone in particular with a headphone jack or at least dual speakers. HTC, you are so close, but you fail in some of the most simple things that improve the smartphone experience...
Frimpr, 13 Oct 2020Where did U see such high price?! Fake news...its not fake news smart ass.. I just chat with HTC on their website, the price will be $640 + $60 in US taxes = $700
Vinoth, 13 Oct 2020Price is too highAround 580€. Not that high for one who does not want chinese only brand for its smartphone.

I don't know, I used to own a couple of HTC phones (HTC 10+ and E8). amazing devices, but this one for 2020 and price of $700??? I should say this thing will be "dead before arrival".. NO, thank you HTC!!
It's only available in Taiwan for the time being, you'll have to import it. That said, it seems super competitive with something like the Pixel 5.
