HTC Android Rum

We already know that HTC is set to launch a new U series flagship - simply dubbed HTC U - sometime this month. We also have a good idea about what to expect from the handset. And now, an image of the device has leaked, showing both its front as well as back.

The leaked image comes courtesy of the usually reliable tipster Evan Blass (a.k.a @evleaks).

The phone is said to be powered by Snapdragon 835 SoC and sport a 5.5-inch QHD touchscreen. It features a 12MP main camera and a 16MP front shooter. Storage options include 64GB and 128GB. It runs Android 7.1 Nougat underneath HTC Sense 9.

The selling point of the U is the Edge Sense technology that lets users control many customizable actions with gestures that you perform on the device's metal frame. The phone is said to be made official this month, and will go on sale next month.

The design looks to be similar to the U Ultra. Too bad it's doesn't have the all-metal design of past HTC flagships.
