deb, 15 Mar 2011Can anyone kindly confirm whether this is good to buy phone in this range. If not then what a... moreIt's a good buy for the price. To use the full features you must have data internet or wifi access (at least to get the cool apps, it is a smart phone) and taking pics in the night or low light really suck, especially if you target moves a little they come out blurred. Daytime photos are fine. If you want a camera phone around the same price try the Sony Ericsson Vivaz :)

Specs says OS is upgradable to Android 2.2. I want to know whether it is free upgrade or I'll have to pay for it?
Also can i download it from website and do it my own or do i need to take it to the service center?

quite likely. but i could be wrong. i use to hav an LG GT540 Optimus which was 480x320, luckily alot of the mainstream/important apps worked with it (unit converters, angry birds etc). I now have a Desire. Since the wildfire is 320x240 I can't say for sure. You could always try to search youtube for clips of apps you know you'll definitely want/use, that run on the wildfire. Hope this helps.

htc wildfire lacks some features compared to other android phones of same price range like low resolution 240*320 because of which u cant play many games even if u can play games then it is pixelated, low cpu causing some lags during running apps,no secondary camera so no video call, video recording is poor, music quality is very bad, cant play good quality non hd mp4 format with builtin mediaplayer even using apps playback quality is very bad for mp4 format,no avi format support for builtin media player(need apps like yxflash other media apps fail to run properly avi format in wildfire)and no live wall papers.only plus point is its good touch response...
