Anonymous, 15 Feb 2011Can wildfire upgrade to android 2.3 gingerbreadLegally, no as of now.. Though HTC has announced that most of its phones will be ported to gingerbread (it did not reveal which models)..
You can root and run gingerbread.. i think there are enough forums and youtube videos for that..

Not true!!! It's installed on my htc wildfire.. And calling is supported!! Pls try again..

After a long waiting, I've got my Froyo update here in Bangladesh. I think itz a Valentine's day gift from HTC :). Everything seems working flawlessly. Even task manager working fine. "Call progress hang up/delay" problem seems fixed. Now I'm observing battery performance. Now I can say I'm happy with my Wildfire.

A great phone (htc wildfire) if you do not need to use Skype. It is not supported on their software. It's a shame.

IRcome, 11 Feb 2011hi can i cheange this phone OS to windows 6.5 or higher? Tanxdon't think so. htc told me i cnt change from win6 to android. but y go to ms? linux the way 2 go.
