Anonymous, 18 Jan 2011I have just got this phone and the handbook I received isnt very clear on how to connect to th... moreGo to http://www.htc.com/www/support.aspx and choose the Wildfire as your product. This is a very useful website with all the information you need. To go online with the Wildfire (provided you have a contract that allows that from your provider) just click on the Internet icon on your Wildfire screen - this should immediately put you online. You will want to change the "home page" to one of your choosing, but that can be done easily. To enable your Wildfire to go online go to the Settings icon on your menu, click Wireless & Networks, scroll down to Mobile Network and enable this function by touching or clicking it. That is all. Once you are online you can customize your homepage and put it into the Bookmarks by clicking on the menu on your phone (next to the home icon on the lower left of the phone) and click on Add bookmark. There you can set your own homepage and your own bookmarks which will surely differ from the pre-sets (which you can delete, sort and edit by pressing the menu prompt again while you are in the bookmarks).
I have a question
Once I give my GMAIL account, HTC personalises it. I do not see an option to log out of the gmail account. Does anyone know who to sign-out of the mail box. If this phone is in the hands of anyone, they can simply go and see all the mail unless it is signed out. Please help
Shaleen, 18 Jan 2011Can anybody tell me is there any option of video call in this phone or how to make video call ?there s an app called TANGO jus download and use that.........!
Guys please don't use task killers they are of no use,
Reasons are:-
It can never save your battery because when we open any application in android,it uses the memory so that the app can be quickly open next time and this does not uses any battery as its the android system which is always running and whenever it needs more memory it automatically closes those app,
By running task killers we are freeing up the space manually but the fact is android system frees up memory whenever we need.
And its proved in a research that we make our devices upto 25% slow by using task killers.
If you really want to save battery then use gprs/edge when you dont use 3G and turn off WiFi when you dont use it same for the GPS and you will end up saving 60% of your battery life.
SUMA, 11 Jan 2011hai every one htc wildfire is the best mobile in android. Then my friend you probably know nothing about android,
Seriously believe me
queen, 14 Jan 2011I was advise to upgrade to 2.2. in order for live wallpaper to work. My wildfire is already up... moreNo it does not support live wallpapers at all because of its processor, you can get live wallpapers to work only if you root it with a custom rom which is going to void your warranty.
For me,I am going to wait till my warrant period is over.
ALEX.T, 14 Jan 2011HI Guys
Has anyone installed NFS Shift on wildfire?
does it have any problem? did it work sm... moreWell NFS Shift didn't work on my wildfire,
Angry birds work but is not that smooth all tho playable,
About the cpu,I never saw it being annoying I hardly every felt that it is slow,I usually run more that 5 apps everytime like gmail and all,all heavy apps run smoothly in it.
You can overclock your wildfire cpu to more that 800mhz by rooting it.
I think you shall go for Wildfire
