Guys please don't use task killers they are of no use,
Reasons are:-
It can never save your battery because when we open any application in android,it uses the memory so that the app can be quickly open next time and this does not uses any battery as its the android system which is always running and whenever it needs more memory it automatically closes those app,
By running task killers we are freeing up the space manually but the fact is android system frees up memory whenever we need.
And its proved in a research that we make our devices upto 25% slow by using task killers.
If you really want to save battery then use gprs/edge when you dont use 3G and turn off WiFi when you dont use it same for the GPS and you will end up saving 60% of your battery life.

queen, 14 Jan 2011I was advise to upgrade to 2.2. in order for live wallpaper to work. My wildfire is already up... moreNo it does not support live wallpapers at all because of its processor,you can get live wallpapers to work only if you root it with a custom rom which is going to void your warranty.
For me,I am going to wait till my warrant period is over.

Has anyone installed NFS Shift on wildfire?
does it have any problem? did it work sm... moreWell NFS Shift didn't work on my wildfire,
Angry birds work but is not that smooth all tho playable,
About the cpu,I never saw it being annoying I hardly every felt that it is slow,I usually run more that 5 apps everytime like gmail and all,all heavy apps run smoothly in it.
You can overclock your wildfire cpu to more that 800mhz by rooting it.
I think you shall go for Wildfire

Vijay, 15 Jan 2011Tried Factory resetting, no go :(Try deleting the update file by going to download/s folder located in sd card and then disable and re-enable your internet connection and check again,
I think it will solve your problem

Buddy please give us some more information on what you want,first decide your budget,then go to the websites of the companies like HTC,Samsung,Nokia,LG,etc see which one meets your needs and if you are confused about a phone or two ask it here,then only anyone can help you.

karan, 17 Jan 2011does it plays youtube videos wtithout buuffering Dude the video buffering time entirely depends on network connection just get a 3G or WiFi connection as per your needs and its gonna buffer in no time.

Anonymous, 17 Jan 2011Does HTC Wildfire have a Document Editor?Someone Please reply to my postIt has got a quick office and pdf reader but I don't think that you can edit them in it,but man its android you can have anything you want when it comes to software,there are a lot of android apps which will let you edit your office files and the free ones are also heavily feature loaded and if you know some websites like blackdroid you can easily have the paid ones free,
And I am sure most of you guys will be thanking me for sharing out that website

[deleted post]First to move apps to sd make sure you have updated it to froyo then go to market and search for appstosd and you will find a bunch of apps sayin that,get any one which is listed at top and download it and then open the app and select the app which you want to move to sd.

yash, 18 Jan 2011m gonna get dis in 2-3 days... is d display really dat bad??????? n camera??????dispaly is realy good and not bad as other says...i was little worryed about but when i checked it myself i dont find any issue with display...camera is ok ...picture is good when you see on computer.....

Vijay, 15 Jan 2011Tried Factory resetting, no go :(Hey buddy, try and reset ur date to the date 1 day prior to the date u got the update request and see if u get the request again. Generally its after every 14 or 17 days an update reminder is send to the user's.
