If u have never had a smartphone or touch phone before I would recommend the wildfire, just because of the price really, in the end you might not like it so why spend so much money?
I thought wildfire looks pretty nice, something like nexus one. I'm planning to get Samsung galaxy, desire or this but I can't decide. Desire looks pretty big though. Is this phone good? In terms of sms-ing, transferring songs and playing songs, and calls? Thanks.
Can i transfer files like music, pictures and videos without adding any app to do that.

pro's- speedy small phone, music is good quality and loud, price is good
con's- low res screen and the app screen button is too close to the home button.
tim, 25 Jun 2010I am about to switch to Andoid era (from Symbian platform) - I will select between HTC Wildfir... morethe desire is the better phone i have had a play around with both over a long period of time and for value for money the wildfire is amazing but for overall quality and speed it must be the desire (even though the wildfire is pretty speedy). the screen resolution on the wildfire is not that bad but it isnt that good either (keeps price down and means processing is faster), and as for the samsung im guessing that you ment i9000 galaxy, its doesnt have that same feel as the desire even the software has been distorted by samsung, as the thing with samsung is that they usually just shove 2 or more operating systems on phones for example the omnia had both samsung as well as windows and if you bought it from orange it had that on too!! desire is cool you can get that for about £30 monthly and the wildfire from like £15/20 so whatever you think you want to pay out!
hi guys. Can anybody help me. I would like to buy this phone sim free, from independent seller. May i install skype from operator "3"? I know there are other htc devices, running android os, and skype from "3" is available. I mean hero and desire. Thanks for help.
Had one for a few days, will have to watch the battery if your using a lot of apps. Camera is suspect even with 5 MP. Easy connection to PC, transferring music or pictures is a dream. A bit of a drag having to push a button to activate the screen and then having to slide the screen down to start using the phone. Screen fairly responsive but me with my big fingers do sometimes have probs with the key-pad.
