Yes, The HTC Wildfire will most likely get Android 2.2 aka Froyo.. Froyo need a lot LESS power than Android 2.1 does. Tests now show it runs about 4 times FASTER than 2.1 on the same processor.
Also it HAS Sense UI. This can be seen on the pictures and is also common logic.
Please dont post comments about things you don't know without giving propper arguments.

Just QVGA resolution in 3.2" screen.? Atleast they should give hvga resolution. Ugly design and poor display.

whilst for i5700, not only it's void of m/touch, it also lack Sense UI which the best mark of all HTC phones.

Htcs design is getting kinda boring and their sens ui is the same old thing. They shouldve added improvements. Other wise well... Its boring. *yawn*

at first glance seems an OK phone, though it could put a better processor ... But a phone is designed for the middle class, created for people who want a phone operating system but have not a lot of money .... and for secondary videocall camera would be useless in romania ... goodbye!

@uday: i dunno about this phone man, but i have a 64gb ipod touch 3rd generation...and i simply love it. once you jail break an ipod...you can do anything wit it! playing games on it is just simply awesome. i would go for a mid ranged phone, like the nokia x3 and the ipod touch.

Tattoo is a low-end phone and this is not, so this wildfire makes a much better choice. Also, wildfire carries the newer os and since its a new phone, its highly likely to be upgraded to Froyo 2.2 in the future, which is actually a very big upgrade.
If battery is your main concern and you don't mind getting a lower-end phone, you can consider samsung I7500, its battery last for about 3 days w moderate usage and its screen is a lot nicer than tattoo's, processer is 800 mHz, which is jus 200 mHz short of that of HTC Desire. Only letdown is tt it doesn't support multi-touch.
